Patriots Locker room after Game

I remember after that Browns game there were posts (and possibly even a thread) demanding Gronk be cut because of a fumble he had down in the Cleveland RZ (possibly the 1?) :p

Boy did he respond though. 3 TDs vs the Steelers and the guy started tearing it up ever since.

I know there are "flying-under-the-radar" threads and a Sunday Game thread, but I had to come back and re-watch this video after that absolutely gutless performance the Packers put on tonight.

We are so lucky to be a fans of this team. This team, I'm pretty sure, is going back to the SB this year. :beatingcoming:

You said it...we are the luckiest fans in the league...so sad that some of us just don't get it enough and need to rip and tear away at every little wart they see.

What is obvious in that video is the very clear division of labor, owners own, coaches coach and players play.. a very simple, but winning formula..

Compare to many of the other teams that are not successful.. we are very lucky fans to have witnessed this.

Just one observation:

There are exactly 2 guys who are still in jerseys and pads. Games over and these 2 guys STILL didn't really want to come off the field. Which two do you think they are?

VW and TB. :D

That kind of sums them up as well.

I thought it was interesting hearing Belichick use that old saying that coaches don't win games, players do. That's as true now as it was when it was first spoken.

It was great to see Edelman looking healthy.

Pretty sure they were last to the locker room. They had that turkey feast MVP thing to do.

I see Julian Edelman looks fine. I hope he tests fine.

Missed last night's game. I take it that Aaron Rogers media GOAT heir apparent isn't in the MVP running this year?

Awesome stuff:
- Jonathan Kraft shoulder-bumping Big Vince is just too funny
- Love the way BB credited the player's preparation, like he did in the press conference afterward. Good message going forward.
- Is that Edelman next to Vince when Kraft is talking (around 2:05)? Might not be. Saw him at the end of the Bruschi thing at the end too.

Edit: I see p\Big-T above says that was Edelman; seemed fine to me, but, who knows.

It worries me slightly that the versitile Edelperson is standing next to Vince. You don't think he has his eye on competing for the NT position do you?

That goes both ways. Vince's transition to Wilfork Continent and the display of hands and running after the catch must have the receivers a little bit worried about their jobs.

The locker room scenes are by far my most favorite highlights after the game, and the major reason I watch Patriot's All Access. Because they win so much, you might not know that they don't show a "locker room scene" when they lose. I wish they would. I bet it would be even more insightful and educational on how BB runs the team.

I think this clip demonstrates the real "love" this team has for their coach, but it also shows that its NOT the "hug it out", ""lets hang out", kind of love, but rather the kind of warm and appreciative feeling you have for that "favorite teacher" who was so meaningful in your life. They guy you originally hated because he was so hard, asked a lot from the class, and never gave you a break on exams. The guy you didn't really appreciate until the "next year". and beyond as the lessons he taught keep coming home.

BB is aloof, he's demanding, he's even somewhat scary in his persona. But to his players he's all those things and sort of the beloved professor. I think those players really do know that BB appreciates what they go through, and how hard they work. And I think they really appreciate how rigorously Bill tries to deflect credit. He does it more than any other coach in the NFL.

Its ironic that his national persona is that of some evil mastermind manipulating and deceiving people to HIS will. A man of GIGANTIC ego, who revels in his "genius" reputation. Where the reality is that Bill would be happy if he didn't have to speak to the media at all. He'd be cool if no on even knew his name. For Bill Bellicick true happiness is being around his coaching buddies watching film and dreaming up strategies, then going out on a field and work with young men on ways to improve their performance, and finally going out on game day and seeing your hard work play it self out in a true test of competition.....and get paid for it.

That's why BB doesn't do commercials. That's why he doesn't do analysis. That's why he's be the HC of the NE Patriots as long as he's healthy enough to do it, even after Tom Brady is gone. Because its simply what he's happiest and having the most fun doing....and if he wasn't doing it here, he'd be doing it at some HS and having almost just as much fun.

They can't televise them because anyone attending summer camp knows that Brady's F-bombs would dominate the video making editing impossible. Remember early on how he lamented getting chastized by his parents when they read his lips on TV? Good times.
