I vividly remember the complete domination and destruction of the 45-3 game in 2010 against the Jets where they just dominated right from the start.

Sundays game was not that way until late in the second quarter but for some reason,I really enjoyed the humor the Jets showed for those 52 seconds of ineptitude and not so better after that.

My choice would be Thursdays game despite the team not dominating from the kickoff because it was really enjoyable and comedy was in play.

Which was yours?

Losing in the playoffs ruined my fond memories of 45-3

45-3 had some great moments. It didn't have Sanchez going ATM, though, which scores overwhelmingly high on the comedy scale. I'll take the 2012 game.

This one is way better I think, and funnier. Created so many fond blooper moments for years of forum fodder.
Its my belief the Jets got 19 pts because the patriots defense couldn't stop laughing.

This past game was just an instant classic. It should be on NFL replay just because the bloopers were just so good and can't be done again. I love the Jets, its not even a competition any longer.

I'll take the 2012 over 2010, but my personal favorite was the 37-16 game last year.

2010 - great methodical blowout, but perhaps if this didn't happen, the playoffs would have gone differently. I bet some of the younger players didn't take the Jets seriously in the January game after 45-3.

2011 - everything was pointing to a Jets win. It took a good amount of effort to beat them at Gillette in week 5, just coming off a 2 game losing streak and the first regular season home loss in forever, going into a hostile environment at night. Then, boom! Blowout where our defense took over.

2012 - the second quarter was comedy gold, but it wasn't really as complete of a game played by the Patriots as the other 2. I don't know how much of it is due to prevent defense and conservative "play not to lose" offense, but the Patriots were actually fairly inconsistent, even outplayed by the Jets the other three quarters. Even during the second quarter, 4 of the 5 touchdowns were fluke/broken plays.

Definitely this game. In the 45-3 game, the Jets just got run off the field. In this game, we had that plus legitimate comedy gold. The Bumble will be around for a looooong time. Rex's constant Sad Keanu expression was priceless. I'm pretty sure that Bart Scott had to be running backwards on the Vereen TD. Shonn Greene signaling first down after getting stuffed on 4th down and fumbling. Al Michaels saying, "The Jets close to within 30 points." And, lest we forget, the blue screen of death faces of Fireman Ed and Captain Jet.

My God, I wish I could erase the game from my internal DVR just so I could watch it again the first time.

Is that the one where Belichick and his son (reportedly) had a nice father-son chat, as they left the field, about the joys of crushing the Jets? ....

Thanksgiving on the road for a clean 2-0 sweep of the rats showcasing the best 2nd quarter of football I've ever witnessed on so many levels.

This video posted by Ninja in the Jets suck thread says it all...:rocker:

I was sorely tempted to say 2010 because of all the ****talking the Jest did prior to the game, but the comedic elements in this one were just too strong to overcome. This game is a microcosm of the Jest organization and history as a team. I love it.

Has to be 45-3 with ease. This was a time when they had reached the AFCCG and were running their mouths like hell whilst competing for top of the division. It never felt better ramming it down their throats.

They're a shambles this year. Expected nothing less than a comfortable win.

This year.

Fun fact: the Patriots became only the third team since the merger to score three touchdowns in the span of less than a minute.

In the process, they also broke the JEST's will to live. :rocker:

I was at the 45-3 beat down and loved it but winning on TDay which crushed any hope of the playoffs for the Jets fans and the comedic relief with the Bumble makes 49-19 a game for all time

Indeed. On top of it, those clowns gave "Skid Mark" Sanchez the big deal that means they are stuck with him for at least the rest of this season and next.

If the "boo foo butt fumble" happened as one silly play in a game between two random teams it'd be damned funny enough, but to have it be on national TV on Spanksgiving, and to have it be "sandwiched" between the long pass play and the fumble on the kickoff, and to have it be the Jests getting hammered by the Patriots none the less, it's a timeless cl-ass-ic! :D

This was the single prime time Thanksgiving Day game that everyone was watching

This year by far

(if we'd won the Super Bowl in 2010 it'd be a different matter)

I chose this years game simply because it happened at the Meadowlands in front of the Jets crowd.

play off lose took a lot of the gloss off in 2010. Hence Thursday is my favourite.

would love to get them in a playoffs to avenge 10.

But it looks like it could be a while before we get to see them there.

I do NOT want to see them in the playoffs again, because no matter how overrated they are, how much worse they are than the Pats, and no matter which improbable events conspire to allow them to get in, there is always the possibility that they could actually win the game, and then the Rats will cling to it it forever as confirmation that they are more significant than they really are.

Thus we get to see threads like this:
