On First Take, Mangini thinks the Jets game plan will be to put Cromartie on Lloyd, double team Wes Welker and force the Patriots to beat the Jets with Edelman or Hernandez. Doesn't think the Pats will be able to run the ball all that well. All panel members picked the Pats to win a close one.

I can see Woodhead factoring in this game coming out of the backfield.

Won't be able to run the ball? On the last bottom of the barrel run stop defense? Yeah... okay

If Connoly or Mankins are back they'll run like crazy over them. Otherwise I think we see alot of Wood****.

Didn't we rack up a ton of yards on the ground gain at the jets last time around? Not that that guarantees anything, ESP with gronk and mankins out, but I wouldn't count out our running game just yet.

Mangini is dead to me.. if I never hear his name again, it will be ok..

That's going to be a genius gameplan if they employ it. Going to have to take advantage of that with a healthy dose of Hernandez, Shiancoe/Fells, and the running game.

I really hope they blitz Sanchez as many times as they did Luck.

Time for the defense to step up and help win a few games.

Wouldn't you just love to take him fishing ...

Mangini... synonymous with a cranky loser.

The strategy seems right.

If Hernandez is near 100%, then he's going to eat up single coverage from anybody on that team.

The Jets will have to win this game with their D OR ST because their offense sure ain't gonna do it !.

If I was the Jets I would not waste Cromartie on Lloyd. I'd put him on Welker. Brady already overthrows Lloyd all the time on his own, as those two just can't seem to get on the same page (discussed in another thread). If it's a short throw Lloyd has an easier time.

I expect a tough game.

Honestly.

Hope we've improved since we last played them.

That was wayyyy toooooooo close.

No. That was the problem.

Honestly, I really don't mind Mangini on espn he usually offers some pretty good insight.

I agree. For some reason, I more concerned about this game that the frigging Niners

Mangini failed to say anything about how the Jets would deal with Vince Wilfork using Brandon Moore's ass to create turnovers.
