Channel 3 in Connecticut STUPID

It is always incredibly aggravating when CBS does this here in Connecticut.

It seems a few times a year we will our forced to watch a game that has gone into overtime even though our game has already started. Looks like the later 4:25pm start time hasn't prevented this.

And of course the whole fiasco of the week 2 Cardinals game not even being broadcasted in Connecticut, had to watch that one online.

I kept hoping they would cut in and say "Sorry, because of licensing rules, we have to switch over to the Patriots game." No. They showed the whole dang thing to the end. I was so PISSED. Especially watching the ticker at the bottom when the Colts scored. I could have stopped that if I were watching, obviously.

I live in Fairfield county and am the only Pats fan in the area it seems.

Not the only one - we are next town over from you in Monroe and have our house and our next door neighbors rooting for the Pats. We should write to CBS though, as they had both channels (2 and 3 on Cablevision) airing the Browns v Cowboys. Usually when we have the same game time with the Jets they use one channel for us and the other for the Green Beans.

The Giants are usually on Fox but with them having a bye this week, there was no coverage, so CBS tried to grab the audience. Understandable but still no reason to dvote both channels - someone should Tweet the complaint.

At least there's somewhat of a rationale in the Southern half of the state. I'm within spitting distance of the Massachusetts border and still get inundated with Jets and Giants crap.

Not the next town over, same town I live in Monroe as well. Yeah I kept flipping between 1002 and 1003 hopeing at least one of them would have the pats game. I was literally screaming at the tv when the colts scored that first td and it scrolled across the bottom of the screen.

CT is NYG country. And Giants fans would want to know about the Cowboys success or failure.

For those of you who are Pats fans and live it CT, God bless you for living in enemy territory. I couldn't/wouldn't do it.

Technically CT is a part of New England, but today's coverage proves that in practice it's really not.

As mentioned earlier the NY station also showed the Cowboys/Browns.

Given that the 1PM game shown was the Jets, and they only switched to the Cowboys after the Jets game was over, I think they should've stuck to the schedule -- switch off the cowboys/browns as soon as the pats game started.

If you cared about the Cowboys/Browns you would've found a way to watch the entire game -- or you wouldn't have had the tv on at the end.

Whereas if the 1PM game shown in the local market was the Cowboys/Browns then I think they should've stayed with the game till the end.

atleast you guys were able to see 3 quarters. I was confident that even though im in Nashville, they would show the game, because Indy is in the division.......nope. I was forced to watch Norv Turner, and his bunch of rejects. I knew the Peyton love in this state was high, but this is a new low. I hate CBS

I honestly think this time whoever's job was to switch the feed from the national feed to the Patriots/Colts feed screwed up, which was probably on CBS. I believe only the team markets got the feed when the game started. I know Boston and Rhode Island got it. Because I had it on WFSB but switched my other TV I had on to WPRI on my Directv receiver and it was on.

I think this was CBS trying to show "America's team" on a national scale because they rarely get them . They could have easily switched it to Houston/Jacksonville that was in overtime and was a lot more compelling.

So I really don't think this one was on WFSB, I think it was on CBS forcing the Cowboys. And CBS probably thought WFSB was in that grey area and didn't make the switch to the Patriots/Colts game. The switch has been made countless times from a 1pm game that was running into a 4pm Patriots game. Honestly think had Dallas/Cleveland not gone to overtime the Patriots/Colts would have been shown on time and that's with the Houston/Jacksonville game going to overtime.

Did anyone else notice how they didn't take a commercial break until the end of the 1st quarter? Clearly only a few markets were watching through the majority of that quarter. Or else there would have been a commercial every single chance they got.

Fairfield County is the worst. It's even infested with JEST fans.

I just can't put my misery in words stupid channel 3. wait for one week for this game, not able to see full game. MAN!!! This sucks. but in end LOVE the result of this game. Go PATS!!

You should all let them know how you feel and make your voices heard. Give them something to think about next time they need to make a programming decision regarding which game to televise. Each individual station has the final say on what game they televise.

Painful. Waited all day for the 4:25pm kickoff then had to miss most of 1st quarter as Cowboys/Browns bumbled their way into OT.

More painful was how slow the OT was going....especially back-to-back play reviews (one that wasn't necessary, I believe)!!!

Same thing in Maryland. stayed with the OT game and Sunday ticket wouldn't let us watch because of the blackout rule for the first 7 minutes. apparently Directv got it together and the game was viewable, but it then went off when the OT game was finished. directv really struggles to get this right, and it usually means missing up to 10 minutes of playing time.

Amen to that, I was screaming at my TV so loud my four year old was like "Daddy why are you so angry at the TV?" Not a rats ass was given about f*%$ing dallas or clevland. I blame the TV station for the disasterous 1st quarter defense. Once I started watching the Pats game instead of the Dallas game the Pats took total control. Just think what could have been if I had been watching from the beginning

I saw this thread and had to show my wife that I am not insane for yelling at the TV when they didn't cut over to the Pats game. I get Channels 2 and 3 so assumed they would keep the Dal v Clev game on 2 and 3 would go to Pats game. When it didn't the screaming started and continued as I watched the score occasionally scroll across the bottom of the screen. That was the biggest bone-headed move I have ever seen by WFSB Ch 3.

If it was at least a good game, that would have been something. The Cowboys and the Browns were just pathetic.

Already sent them e-mails and posted on their facebook.

I live in Jacksonville Beach, so naturally they were going to show the Jags/Texans OT. I didn't care though because it was an awesome game to watch and I knew I'd see the Pats before the first quarter was over. You guys should have heard the screaming in my neighborhood (I own a condo) when that game was on. :D
