I really hope Welker goes this week or things are gonna get scary.

I am going to say he is 50/50. He was there Friday..but not Wednesday or Thursday

Hernandez OUT is becoming all too familiar.

They rushed him back from it and the shouldn't have. Now it could be more serious.

But he is practicing limited all week. So it's not like he isn't out there

I really would like to see Edelman and Lloyd out there with Gronkowski and Fells/Hooman if only to see a pure standoff between two quarterbacks with mediocre receiving cores

I think the most interesting games are ones like this

Don't want to see shiancoe? I know i do

I hope he is out every week until Houston. That's the first defense we really need him to beat. Get that ankle healed and come back strong for the playoff run.

They should just save him for the postseason and make loyd a dependable target.

Yes, they really need to get going with LLoyd. He hasn't been quite the deep threat I was hoping for, so far. I want a guy like Mike Wallace who could act as Randy Moss 2.0 for us. I know the defence needs more fixing up than our offense, but still :p

With Hernandez out the defense needs to hold their own out there against Andrew Luck and the difference maker in this game just might beeeee...................... Aquib Talib!! hopefully it'll be the difference of getting off the field on 3rd down and perhaps a touchdown, which should cut the offense some slack.

Lloyd has been a great addition. He's not Randy Moss 2.0 and nobody really is. Some fans are just setting the bar too high.

Hells yeah! The only thing that matters is getting SB win. Or at the least make a deep playoff run.

Plus Hernandez is my favorite Pat so I don't want to see him out for the rest of the year.

Makes a lot of sense. Play him on Sunday, and he only has four days before playing again. Hold him out until Thursday, and then he gets 10 days to heal up before the next game.

And let's be honest. The Pats shouldn't need him to score lots of points against the Colts. Now if both Hernandez and Welker are out, then I'll be a little worried.

First logical post on this topic, thank you.

Great is a strong word but I agree that he has been a very solid addition. He is on pace for around 70+ receptions and 800+ yards. Considering the Patriots have WW, Gronk, AH who will be targeted a lot.... those are damn fine numbers. The single disappointment (though disappointment is far too strong a word here) is the low amount of TDs. While TB likes to throw to the TEs from the red zone, I think everyone expected BL would provide some TDs from outside the red zone. That hasn't happened....

NFL Radio on Sirius is also reporting Hernandez out tomorrow.

The med staff effed-up by allowing him to play before the bye week (and allowing oldMankin$
to be removed from the PUP list during TC).

As much as I feel that we can use all the help we can get, on both sides of the LOS,
if de-activating Hernandez tomorrow & Thursday v the J-E-S-T means that he will be
good to go for the last 5 games & POs, then so be it.

Take a closer look at the Colts defense and who they've been playing the last five weeks. Edelman will be more than enough in the slot with Gronk, Lloyd, Branch and the running game. The Colts cannot defend the run, so look for big days from Ridley, Vereen and Woodhead.

I'd rather have him healthy as possible for the playoffs.

Disappointed he was brought back as soon as he was, usually we're more conservative with bringing people back. And the offense was rolling anyways without him.

They Pats have the #1 offense by far this year. Lloyd and the rest of the offense have been as good as anyone could reasonably expect.

Several AM tweets are confirming Hernandez is out. Welker is planning on playing although they will test the ankle pre game so it's a game time decision. Would be a great time for one or more of our plethora of backup TE's to show up. Also a good time to again flex the ground games muscle.

Mankins and Connolly both not expected to play.

...This is a recording...

But seriously folks, it's time to consider options for 2013 & beyond without the 2 oldest
& most injury-prone OLmen on the roster.
