Chandler Jones is 5th in the league in QB pressures

I wish he had some real pass rushing help on the other side.

Would like to see Chandler have a big game vs Colts. Make that next jump. Seems like he's been quietier than earlier in the season. More film on him makes his tendencies more visible. Maybe the refs even call holding on his opposing OL for once. :rocker:

Off topic, but there's a ton of holding against Jones complaints on this board. Is there any reason to think all the top rushers don't get the same amount of holding & call likelihood as Jones does? Is there any reason to think the Pats OL don't behave the same way against opponent's good rushers?

It's nice to think that if the refs only called it he'd be an unstoppable force, but I think its more likley that we're noticing the holding because its been a long time since we've had a good outside rusher

He got 2 (I believe) holding calls on Sunday, so the zebras might be giving him some respect now they know his talent.

I think there's reason to think that since Chandler is a rookie he's not going to get calls that veterans are.

Give him 2 more years...will be a stud

Absolutely love this guy. He's going to be a terror in the coming years.

Is Brady in their top 30 QBs this year?

in some ways i'd like to see players turn into studs after they land their 2nd contract as it will cost to keep a stud on the books. But, if they like the way he's lining up, they can do what they did with Gronk and Hernandez

with 31 according to PFF

Scroll down to Chandler Jones vs Anthony Castonzo, last line of the first paragraph.

Misleading title in this thread... I think.

When I read the part about him being fifth, it says:
"The vast majority of his pass rushes have come from the right side, where his 31 total QB pressures are the fifth-most in the league."

I would say that means he has 5th most pressure from the right side. But english is not my native language so feel free to take me to school here (as if you wouldn't do that without my premission).

To be fair, that was a list of the top 100 players at all positions.

Still rubbish, though.

If we can get another edge rusher that would be terrific!!!

Isn't this the site we hate on if it is something bad about the patriots or good about any other team? Or do we just trust them when they say good things about pats players?

Jones is a beast. That's for sure. Looking to see him take advantage of Costanzo and make life difficult for Luck. If he can do that, our secondary should see some success.

I also find the prospect of Ridley running against the porous Colts run D (22nd rank overall, 4.7 ypc) to be a good matchup. Run RIGHT AT Freeney all day long is what I say!

"And on the second-level, we find former All-Pro Dwight Freeney floundering in his new outside linebacker position, where his 2.1 Run Stop Percentage ranks dead last.

...

But if the Colts front seven isn’t up to the task against the run, it may be Ridley who brings their demise."

For a while Chandler seemed to have DROTY in command....is he still leading the pack?

I know Irvin was playing pretty well for the Hawks

Jones is due for a sack or two this weekend with the way his sacks have come this season.
