Peyton is the Pro Bowl’s top vote getter, so far | ProFootballTalk
...the fans are voting at NFL.com. And the fans’ favorite to date is Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, with nearly 377,000 votes. In second place is Peyton’s long-time nemesis, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, with more than 345,000.

The rest of the top 10 consists of Texans running back Arian Foster (333,000), Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (320,000), Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (298,000), Bengals receiver A.J. Green (258,000), Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (258,000), Giants receiver Victor Cruz (257,000), Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan (236,000), and Saints quarterback Drew Brees (227,000).

Voting continues for five more....

Well, Manning did get an extra million free pizzas for everyone. That's gotta help.

I'm surprised Brady is second overall because every other fanbase hates him so much lol.

Is this an important issue here at PatsColtsFans ?

i thought it was 2 million?

peyton is getting the sympathy vote - coming back from injury and all. it's a great story and he'll probably end up getting MVP too although Rodgers deserves it more.

Who cares.

The Broncos players will actually be in the ProBrowl.... we'll be in the other "bowl"

Is anybody honestly surprised? With his first step on the football field in Week 1 this season, Manning had already wrapped up CPOY, MVP, and a Pro Bowl nod.

That would happen only if the presence of Manning improved the offense so much that they would be considered a serious playoff contender. Obviously, that has happened and Manning is one of several reasonable candidates for MVP.

My respect for Manning, already high, has grown this year. He got off to a slow start but has really put it together. His long ball is shot but he is smart enough to know it and work around it. He is easier to like without those fake goody goody Colts fans.

He's about as reasonable a candidate for MVP as Matt Ryan or JJ Watt.

Peyton has pretty stiff competition in AP for CPOY. A RB coming off a late season ACL tear coming back like this is unheard of. He's coming on strong in the MVP race, too (OPOY anyway, we all know RBs don't win MVP). 629 yards, 5 TDs in the last 4 games at 7.7 yards a pop. Three of those games against solid defenses. 182 yds at 10.7 ypc vs. Seattle. 123 yds at 8.2 ypc vs. Tampa (who are #1 in ypc allowed). The dude is tearing teams apart right now.

That may be true, but his play has actually backed it up. He's leading the league in passer rating and yards per attempt, and has turned a team that wasn't that good offensively last year into a top 3 offense. You really can't reasonably say that he isn't on the short list of MVP candidates.

Not denying that he's a fortified MVP candidate right now. My argument is essentially that he could be playing like ass and still be an MVP candidate because, well, he's Peyton Manning.

I'm not surprised. Manning's having a better season, in my opinion, so he definitely deserves it.

Here are Cowherds MVP Candidates in order

Peyton
Big Ben
Luck
Aaron Rodgers

WTF......... no AP? no JJ Watt?

What has luck done to even be considered, 8 TDs in home games and ONLY 2 in road games this year, that makes it 10 TDs for a total of 9 INTs??????????

I am very glad that no one and i mean no one is picking Brady for MVP ...

I agree. He is more likeable when Irsay is not tweeting about him twice a day.

I am shocked at this selection...Big Ben??? Really? I don't get that one.
I know the Falcons lost last game but I still think Matt Ryan should be up there with Rogers. Manning is playing well considering he was injured last year but alot of votes he wil get are because of who he is. I don't think he is anymore deserving that Rogers or Ryan at this point!

And I agree, I would rather see Brady win SB MVP;)

Agree completely with this point, Broncos defense deserves as much credit as their offense for the season they are having.Matt Ryan is being overlooked by a lot of mediots for the MVP consideration, They should change the name to MPP = Most Popular Player award.

With Roethlisberger going on the shelf, the QB race in the AFC is a 3 person race, with Brady, Manning and Schaub The vote is what it is, and Manning always has the edge, but it shouldn't matter in the end. Both Manning and Brady should be voted in.
