It can be found at

It is still a work in progress.

I need to correct the dead money list and list the players not in the Top 51.

24.6 million somehow seems so much less than that nice 30 million figure we were all throwing about ignorantly.

IS the "2007 Cap Hit if Cut" column the difference of the hit-salary or just the hit and we would then subtract the salary.

Using Dillon, for example, his remaining bonus is $5.7 and his salary is $2.5 so wouldn't that be a cap hit of $3.2; the remaining bonus minus the salary ?

I might as well get this figured out now so I can leave you alone once I have it figured out :)

One thing to consider. The 30 million was when the Patriots only had 40 players signed. They now have 59 signed or presumed tendered. Big difference.

My numbers presume that all of the ERFAs will be tendered. The other numbers do not make that presumption.

My numbers presume that the Pats will exercise all option bonuses. I am not sure that the other numbers make the same presumption.

That'll leave on the order of $20M after draft picks - more than enough to re-sign Samuel and Graham or get equivalent value with others.

I corrected the 2007 Cap Hit if Cut Column so as to highlight the fact that it represents the dead money hit if the player is released after 6/1/2007.

If one wants to take an educated guess at how much dead money would appear on the Patriots cap if a player was cut before 6/2/2007, I recommend use The Remaining Signing Bonus Column.

The dead money list has been updated for the 2007 season. I will list the players not in the Top 51 tomorrow.

$2.9 million roster bonus for Antwain Spann?

ATippett -
Its not a roster bonus. If you check the background information, the Pats gave Spann a 2.91 million LTBE bonus for the 2006 season.

Now, in all likelyhood, this was a bogus LTBE bonus much like the Pats gave Koppen as part of his deal. If they went unearned, they become a CREDIT to this season to off-set any NLTBE bonuses that were earned last season.

Miguel's page doesn't include these debits and credits as they haven't been announced yet. And, if they do, I apologize in advance, Miguel.

Lookin' spiffy.

Just don't forget to add Sauerbrun to the transactions page, to delete Chad Scott from the 2007 FA page, as he is not a FA until 2008, and to delete Bam from the practice squad section.

That was for the 2006 season. Spann is one of the players who are not part of the Top 51 list. I will be updating Spann for the 2007 season later today.

Page is now completely updated.
