That game is going to be a battle IMO

Despite that the Jets look simply flat out bad right now is not a guarantee that the game will be a cakewalk.

This is a holiday game on national TV with the Jets at home and an annual Super Bowl preparation type game for Rex and co.,so don't think motivation won't be a part of the game for them to try and at least make the best out of a bad season by trying to beat their biggest nemesis at least once.

The Pats D had little answer for Jeremy Kerley last time they played,I would think he will be the main go to guy for them against this porous secondary.

Sanchez has had several real good games in his career and most of them at the expense of the Pats,we always make him look like Joe Namath

It will be a 3 or 4 point game either way IMO

I don't know what the spread will be, but you're right; I never take a Division Game lightly, especially on the Road...

...I mean it's not like we ever need a pick in the endzone in the closing seconds of the game to lock up a victory over a team like Buffalo at home...do we? Or that we need a dropped pass to beat the Jets...at home...nah...that never happens...does it?

exactly, if you take a look at Ji, they've basically given up and theyre telling all jets fans to sell their tickets because their season is done. but not to encourage them or anything but i mean jets and pats only went to OT in a close game a few weeks ago so why not go? Really shows your loyalty. Im a pats fan 16-0 or 0-16. Thats something that will never change. oh well we shall see what happens at the meadowlands

I desperately want to see Tim Tebow start at this game. I wouldn't mind losing to such a classy gentleman!

Sanchez can suck it though!

I'll be enjoying this game from Jetblue at 37,000 ft, give or take a few! Might even be flying directly over it.

Are you nuts? You wouldn't mind losing ot the Jets?

BTW, wait until they lose to the Rams and you'll be able to get tickets for the Patriots game for nothing.

Hmm - I went to a Pats/Jets game years ago (2003 or 04 maybe?) at the old Giants stadium. It was a Monday night game, I think the day after Christmas. Went with my husband and two kids. We wore our Pats colors and other than a few mild verbal insults nobody bothered us. The Jets were out of it by then and there were many other Pats fans in attendance, which was not full. We were warned not to wear our Pats stuff, but we figured not even Jets fans would attack little kids. It turned out we were right, but we did sit in the lower bowl and not up in the rafters where I have seen pictures of others having not so good a time. Just wanted to offer a different perspective.

That was a long time ago. And, the Pats were royalty in those days; also pre-Spygate. Still, it would be nice if you were right and I was wrong. I'd just be careful about finding out.

I went last year 2nd row lower level and wore my colors n kept yelling for carter to sack Sanchez ass. Just like that. Don't be scared. Wear those colors proudly.

Lower level. Front rows. A different crowd both on the concourse during breaks and in the stands. If you're sitting in the cheap seats, I'd be careful.

I would agree with this. I was in NY/NJ earlier this season and saw the Browns/Giants on Sunday and the Texans/Jets on Monday. We were in the cheap seats for the Giants game and had a Browns fan with us who cheered on a moderate basis throughout the game without issue as the Giants fans did not see the Browns as any type of rival/threat (although a person who decided to wear Eagles gear for some insane reason had a pretty rough go of it but that is to be expected).

For the Jets game we were front row endzone with about three rows of Texans fans to our right and Jets fans to our left. Honestly, I feared a brawl may break out but everyone was extremely well behaved. As a Patriots fan I had no problem cheering for the Texans with the rest of their fans (lesser of two evils really) but I would not have been cheering for the Texans had we been in the upper deck and just would have kept my mouth shut.

I would recommend going through, very easy to get to/from the stadium and it is a pretty nice place to watch a game.

I got tickets on Row 13 on the visiting team side. When the score is 38-7 by the fourth quarter, I think I'll go up and harass Brady for an autograph.

I was at that game. Stadium was less than half empty. it was also freezing out. If I remember correctly, McGinest may have had a big INT or maybe a sack to ice a close game. That game had all the excitement of paint drying.

All good points. The Patriots D has made a lot of mediocre QBs look great thus far. Talib will be a big help assuming they have him in man coverage but on zones he's not up to speed yet and we are playing without some key people ourselves.

The Jets have a season full of pride going into this one game - Rex will tell them "this is your Super Bowl" if only to keep his own job.

The good news is that the Patriots have as much pride invested in this game as well. It's not "must win" by any stretch of the imagination but I don't see them getting lulled by any AFC east team, let alone the Jets.

Bring it on. I can take care of myself pretty well.

Getting banned from Jets games for life is something I can live with, especially if I take a few Jets fans with me :D

Commuter rail from CT isn't that bad or costly and MTA to the stadium from NYC shouldn't set me back much either.

Given the many errant Sanchez passes I've seen, your life might be in jeopardy

turkey all day and the pats crushing the jets..what could be better?

he said 37,000 feet.. not 10 yards over everyones head and out of bounds!

What do you guys think of the super cheap seats for two guys and a 15 year old kid?

We'll be decked in Pats jerseys, wondering if we should worry about green bean fans

read Jets Insider and the comments from 90% of those turds...and then make your decision...personally ,I'd go with a Jets hat and some green sweater and make like I'm rooting for the Jets...why risk being accosted by sub 80 IQ drunken trogs?

And that's just the posh seats.

They are doing the whole dedication to the fans thing next Thursday, in terms of Megastorm Sandy. I believe they are using a "human tunnel" made up of New Yorkers who prevailed the storm to have the NYJ players run through onto the field. It's supposed to be the first time anyone attempted this, so I'm thinking that the fans may be a little bit more into it than we are thinking at the moment.

Regardless of the shape they are in overall which is pathetic, and whether or not they win vs STL on Sunday, I am personally expecting the usual tougher-out divisional game on the road.

I still think the Pats win by 10 or so, but I'm not expecting the blowout that some are, and I actually think that this whole "10 thousand seats left" thing is a bit overplayed. By the time gametime comes it will likely be down to 5k or so.

To be honest, I would consider taking Joker's advice on this one, especially if there are kids involved.

I know that when I take my wife to the Pats games here in Pittsburgh, we usually just wear something neutral. That isn't to say that I don't cheer like hell for our team, but it really makes you stick out when you go into a beesnest of swarming Steeler or Jet fans who are pretty classless.

I saw a ton of people wearing Pats gear getting beers thrown on them, getting pelted with ketchup packets all game, etc.

To me it's just not worth it to pay that kind of money and have to deal with that all game.

Obviously if you were with a couple/few of your buddies it may be a different story, where you wouldn't get harassed as badly, but wearing neutral colors or regular clothes may be the best way to go, at least you won't stick out as badly.
