Ta'amu was a guy that many of the draftniks on this board wanted the Pats to bring in.. I find it surprising that the Steelers cut him during his rookie season. I wonder if the Pats will kick the tires..

Did you see what he was cut for? There's no way they'll take a chance on him.

There has to be a lot more to this story.

I would definitely be looking this gift horse in the mouth before saying yes.

It wasn't specified in the tweet that I saw.. Do you have information as to why he was cut?

High Caliber Grizzlies are MINT.

It would behoove Mad Bill to take a Long Look.

Could you imagine Him, Dennard and Talib on a session?

I would kill for the Eagles to inexplicably cut Fletcher Cox at this moment in time...though Pittsburgh's move is certainly understandable. Ta'amu's breed of Mastodon is not a rare one in Foxboro. If he's going to be a land mass, he'd better be drifting forward.

:( if only we'd managed the Red Bryant signing.

Denard....Talib.....why not one more.

Make him live with the Wilforks and have them straighten the guy out.

Put them side by side on the D-line, we need some depth.

Thing with Ta'amu is that he wasn't all that good in the first place. When a DT is being driven back by college interior linemen like he's on roller-skates, it doesn't bode well for him in the NFL.

Steps outa line, Bianca will go all Wilfork on his ass

7/35m. 2 career sacks. What we really need is a big pass rusher. Not a 2nd Vince Wilfork (we already have Kyle Love).

You really wouldn't commit 5 mil a year to another rock in the trenches? We'll have to agree to disagree here.

Red Bryant's career sack stat is not an indicator of how someone as good as he is playing alongside Wilfork would help our defense.

I'm with you. Red Bryant would have been a stud alongside VW. He's a top 10 lineman in the NFL in my book, along with Ngata, Wilfork, Justin Smith, JJ Watt, JPP, Jared Allen and soon to be Chandler Jones. To have 3 blue chip defensive linemen on the same line would have been very gratifying.

BTW, I think that Jesse Williams from Alabama could be a Red Bryant clone in the pros.

I can't remember the last time a former Patriot became a Steeler or a former Steeler became a Patriot

Its almost like these 2 teams don't want to have anything to do with those players

2010 Alameda was great and had he left school would of been a top 20 pick. Maybe top 10.

2011 fell off a cliff.

Draft day showed why we the fan aren't privy to everything behind closed doors. He was passed over several times for a reason. Whether it was gameplay or attitude? Who knows? I would say both after the first 9 games and his incident.
