just not his year again

Mankîns kind of reminds me of another lineman From the past, although it is from the defense......Richard Seymour

Mankins, like Seymour was a dominant lineman for many years until leg injuries slowed their production down almost every year when midway into their career and end up missing several weeks almost yearly once they reach around 30 or so.

These ankle and leg injuries seem to just keep reoccurring year after year with the big guys at the LOS

oh crap.

this is bad news.

I thought the offense played nastier when Mankins was out.

Jodee

Bills interior pressure didn't get as much push when Thomas came in for Mankins.

Donald Thomas has played well recently too so I'm not too concerned about him, I am however concerned about Connolly's back.

:( we will miss you Logan.

Oh, and screw you Waters.

Except that Thomas didn't come in for Mankins today. Thomas took over for CONNOLLY at RG. McDonald went in at LG today. Which was a switch up from the game against the Rams and the previous week as well.

Ah, ok.

I remember them both coming in at the same time, couldn't remember which side they were at though.

McDonald was the one who played well then :D

They both played well today. I was surprised at Thomas playing well at RG because he'd sucked there previously.

McDonald was the one who opened the hole for Ridley to run to the 2 yard line..

hope mankins gets healthy again soon. double whammy on wendell -- not only did he get run over as TB got sacked, when he got run over, he fell on mankins legs -- causing the injury

It was his left ankle. He spent a lot of time getting it looked at on the bench. They taped it up again pretty good (with tape over his shoe) and he walked around on it some but never went back into the game.

According to Giardi, Welker also had X-Rays on his ankle after the game. After his late reception in the 4th Quarter, he clearly limped off of the field and did not return.

His ankle was already banged up from earlier this season, so let's hope that he didn't further aggravate it. If so, and he is lost for a good period of time, our season just took a HUGE hit.

everyone's ankles are getting hurt this year...hernandez..welker now hurt more seriously it looked like (hope not) mankins

Mankins hasn't looked that good this year. I think it has looked like he has lost a bit of power and don't get the push. Think he has had a injury still naggin him.

Mankins is a great player but his absence to me would not be as big of a loss as it would be if we lost either Tackle in Solder or Vollmer.....pass rush getting to Brady from the edge is my biggest concern, nothing good comes from a blindside hit from the wide side.

When did Welker get hurt? Was he hurt during the game? Or am I missing something in that regard?

toward the end; think it was last drive that went for a FG.

I looked worse at first when he first went down after the catch; but then he walked off limping. Even so; it still looked bad enough that I would think he highly likely to be inactive next week.

Edit:
Was looking for something else in game and saw was at 4:39 in 4Q. When he took the screen pass on right side and ran an unplanned reverse to left. injured when he was knocked out of bounds/as going out of bounds.

Welker hurt his ankle late in the fourth. He had already tweaked it last week against the rams. Our offense is not the same if we don't have one of welker or hernandez on the field.
