Good thing Shiancoe's activated, I guess..

Thats a shame, but its better if he is 100 % for later on against some tougher opponents.

This is an odd report - more like a rumor from NESN. Everybody on the team is "questionable."

Let the beast rest until he's his old self, won't need him against Buffalo anyway.

Pats offense actually scores more pts in the games he DOES not play...odd right?

I'm surprised Hernandez hasn't been accused of being a glass man yet.

After playing against Seattle, then skipping the Rams + bye week, and now not playing on this third week, I'm starting to think he only aggravated his ankle by playing in Seattle.... that's not something I was hoping to hear going into week 10... :(

But I agree, better sit him against the Bills, and have him ready for Houston and SF...

Not a huge game this week. Keep him healthy for the end stretch

Because he is not. The reason he is out was that he was brought back too soon (for the Jets game I think) and got re-injured. Just like I predicted.... Stupid and predictable by the Patriots.

To be quite honest, we haven't really needed him so far.

And we've faced some pretty good Defenses.

Hernandez came back for the Seahawks game which preceded the Jets game.

If you apply the same rationale to lesser players and games played versus games available, he's looking fairly tender.

Dowling is glass...i don't put hernandez in that category

Hernandez probably needs surgery on that ankle so no amount of rest is going to make much of a difference. They are going to get out of him what they can this year and he will get it fixed in the offseason.

This is Hernandez' third season. He only managed to play 14 games in each of his first two seasons. Tomorrow, he'll already be missing his fifth game of this season. He also missed games in both 2008 and 2009 (college, I'm not counting games not played in his first college season). If he's not glass yet, he's a bucket of sand and cullet that's waiting on a high-temperature furnace.

Bad, weird timing. I'll be pleasantly shocked if we see him play another game this year.
