After playing against Seattle, then skipping the Rams + bye week, and now not playing on this third week, I'm starting to think he only aggravated his ankle by playing in Seattle.... that's not something I was hoping to hear going into week 10...

But I agree, better sit him against the Bills, and have him ready for Houston and SF...

Hernandez probably needs surgery on that ankle so no amount of rest is going to make much of a difference. They are going to get out of him what they can this year and he will get it fixed in the offseason.

This is Hernandez' third season. He only managed to play 14 games in each of his first two seasons. Tomorrow, he'll already be missing his fifth game of this season. He also missed games in both 2008 and 2009 (college, I'm not counting games not played in his first college season). If he's not glass yet, he's a bucket of sand and cullet that's waiting on a high-temperature furnace.
