As loath as I am to broach the subject.......

Would it in fact for the future of the NFL and best interests of the Patriots be the best outcome if the Dolts actually did win this SB?

Why you ask, would I want Putz Polian and his collection of over-paid referee-supported, jack-rabbits to actually get a ring??????


Well, think about it. For the past 2 years the drum-beat has gone on:
....'is this finally pay-me-a-ton's year'
.....and the continuous litany of weird calls in critical games that seem to mysteriously go the Dolts way

ALL THESE would have NO LIFE OF THEIR OWN ANYMORE.

Could we actually anticipate a 2008 season where the playing field would be leveled back once Polian gets his chunk of gold??????


Or would it just be more delicious to see horsey-face crying on the field (.....YET AGAIN.....). I really can't make up my mind. My personal venom just seems to get in the way of thinking logically.

Polian said in the usa today, that this team of the colts reminded him of the bills teams he had. I cant imagine how nervous he must be going into this game. I would love to see the Colts fall under Polian..........would love it.

Although I would hate to see Polian win, I have to say that with either outcome I would be far from upset.

Everyone would be touting Peyton as a great QB, blah blah blah, if the Colts win, but there would be a lot of pressure on that team next year, and even less on the Pats.

If the Bears win it would be sweet.

I still can't get over that Polomalu call in 2006's playoffs. As bad as some of the calls were versus New England that officiating was about as clearly biased as it gets.

As much as I want the Manning feeding to stop - it's still comical to see him lose despite having the deck so clearly stacked in his favor... Imagine if the NFL did that for Brady... He'd have five rings now.

Good point brother! One play that finishes the game is the Caldwell mugging in the endzone even after the dropped the two passes. This was perhaps bigger, On the one with about three minutes and now Peyton needs to go for seven instead of three and the Pats defend differently. If that is

If that Caldwell mugging with 3 minutes left is Harrison or Reggie Wayne, Polllian gets his call. How many millions agree with that observation!?
Even if it took the Pats one or two tries to get in, it's even better. Now go get a TD like the Pats need with 1 minute left Peyton, and it isn't as easy when only three is needed, is it?

The Troy Brown B.S. call as well. We score even a three and we have at the least a full 21 points. How many think they call that on Harrison?

Why would anyone pull for the Colts when you always play them 15 for them to 11 for you?

You have to say this about the Pats. Other than the "Tuck", everything the Pats got as far as rings they earned without the refs help. The "Tuck" was payback for the Hamilton/Stabler farce so et tu Raiders!

All in all, the Pats did not deserve to win that game when Coleman is on the bench instead of rushing and Alexander for crying out loud, is covering anybody! Dean.......Please!!!! How many Pats fans watched in horror as #44 lined up with no one even bumping him on the line before he waltzed down the field for the big one?

If there is anything better than watching Peyton denied of a SB championship, it is watching him dethroned like we were on 1/14/06. I was talking to my buddy on the (longest) ride home (ever), and I said that I would've rather been blown out, because then I could have the peace of mind in knowing that we just didn't belong. The way the game unfolded to going from the highest high (after Asante's pick 6) to the lowest of all lows (watching Peyton run a 2 minute drill to win the game) made me physically ill. Literally. I vomited.

We blew the game with poor playcalling offensively in the second half, and failure to execute. And that hurts REAL bad.

The painful part of the last 2 playoff losses is that the Pats, during the course of the game, make us think that they DO belong, that they aren't as flawed as they've shown and they are recapturing the spirit of the 03/04 Pats....but then they unravel and are exposed as the team that just doesn't do too well against the league's elite. Did we expect THAT much out of a team that was skunked by a 6-10 Dolphin squad in WEEK 14?

Keep your head up Dave. NE played like the champions that they are. What many forget (even here) is that NE had played 4 playoff-like games prior to the Indy game (both Jax and TN would have made the playoffs with a win over NE) and three of those were on the road. They were really running on fumes. I lament the missed opportunity as much as anybody, but there is nothing for that team to be ashamed of.

Think about it. Indy had every advantage. They were far more healthy, they were home for the 4th time in 5 weeks. The only road game was an hour flight away.....

And it still took them 59 minutes and some dubious officiating to take a lead.

Even if they win, Polian is still the eternal loser in my book. Losing 4 SBs, losing opportunities to play for at least two, probably 3, while winning one SB does not make you a winner.

Winning a SB would merely be a historical footnote on an otherwise miserable, unfulfilling and pathetic career. I wouldn't hire this guy to manage a pee-wee team.
