Yeah, but just watch, and see...whenthe pre season mags come out in July....

The so called experts will pick the AFC East this way.

1: NY Jets
2: Miami Dolphins
3: New England Patriots
4: Buffalo Bills

They will never learn.

Let's see when the Jets have to face Phil, Dallas, NYG, Balt, Cinn and Tenn instead of Clev, Hou, GB, Det. Oak, Minn and 7 playoff teams with a combined record of 132-124....

In the interest of full disclosure, the Pats schedule may be harder but we expect that wth 8 playoff teams and an opponents' 2006 record of 137-119....

Somewhere on the Las Vegas strip I'm sure.

Bears better odds than the Patriots? I suppose because it's so much easier to get there playing in the NFC. Overall team-wise, no way.

Indy's 132-124, only plays 6 teams (5 playoff teams) that finished above .500
Balto 130-126, only plays 5 teams (5 playoff teams) that finished above .500
SD 129-127, plays 8 teams (6 playoff teams )that finished above .500 (KC and Den twice each)
Chic 119-137, but plays 7 teams (6 playoff teams) that finished above .500

Next year is going to be tough, but I like our chances. A tougher schedule, sure, but hopefully we will have the reinforcements on board by then, making us a tougher team.

I'll feel excellent about next year's team if they win 12 games, but I'm guessing they'll win less.

I bet they win one of Indy and San Diego, but I'm also guessing they go 4-2 in the division.

That's 3 losses right there. Add in 1 WTF loss and the team has very little margin for error.

We win two against Miami next year, and we finally lose one to Buffalo at Buff. Miami's decision to hire Cameron is a big joke. I love that hire, as a Patriots fan.

Colts are favorite to repeat next season already. Hilarious. How i think the pats will be next season, its highly unlikely. Colts are 7-1 odds right now.

I was in Vegas this past weekend and the best odds I could find on the Pats to with the Super Bowl was +700 (7 to 1) at Hard Rock. +600 was common and in some places it was as low as +450. Yeah I know you can find much better online but I'm not willing to take that risk. I already have a big chunk stuck at Neteller.

The Hilton comes out with NFL season wins over/under this Sunday afternoon so I'll be there to check that out. Last year it was 10.5 for the Pats and that was against a fairly easy schedule.

I thought that 10-1 was way too high for Vegas! I actually put $100 down at the Paris in the summer of 2002 on the Pats and got 12-1, needless to say I made a return trip to Vegas in March of that year to collect. I will be back in a month or so, and if anyones dumb enough to put them at anything over 9-1, I'm laying it!!!!

Patriot reporting at it's finest!!

FWIW, there were only 11 teams that finished with a better than .500 record last season (EXCLUDING Colts). Therefore, Colts will face MORE THAN 50% of those teams. In addition, Colts will face a grand total of 11 teams with a .500 record or better. Throw in ATL and 7-9, and it's stiff.

The ONLY AFC playoff team the Colts will not face (besides themselves) is the NYJ.

No, I'm almost sure you won't even find 8 to 1 unless something catastrophic happens to the Pats. Overall value goes down as the season gets closer (house take increases) so 7 to 1 might be the best option going forward.

I guess we all have our favorite sites for this kind of speculation. Here's mine with the results below http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/futures/

The good news is that, of the top five teams, our chances have improved since the whistle blew to end SB XLI, but so have the Colts' and Ravens'. The Chargers' and Bears' have gotten worse.

I think if you are looking for "value", a team like the Saints in the NFC, or the Bengals from the AFC would be the way to go. So, lay $100 on the Pats, and try and get it back by laying $50 each on Bengals and Saints.

National Sports Advisors has the Pats as heavy favorites to win 2008 Superbowl. Patriots 3/1, Chargers 6/1, Colts 7/1.
