slot cornerback. He is a solid player in that position. He has struggled this year but he is better then anyone else on are roster right now.

No he isn't.

He just plain sucks. He is a terrible football player, with terrible technique and got burnt all last year and continues to get burnt this year.

We are a better team without him on the squad. We could sign Joe Schmoe off the street and be better than with Arrington.

Would I give up a 2nd rounder for a Super Bowl? Yes.

Could DRC be the difference between winning and losing a Super Bowl? Well he could but odds are he wouldn't be because our secondary as a whole sucks.

I don't know if I would do it for a 2nd, but I'd do it for a 3rd easily.

So, not sure you would swap Ron Brace for DRC? Because Ron Brace was a 2. You know that, right?

Changed your mind?

Here we go again...

Yeah, here we go again with you about to lecture us on how we could actually be worse. :bricks:

But failing to understand that we aren't talking about league wide....rather than just top 8 team-wide.

Ron Brace is irrelevant. As is any pick in the past. We are talking about future picks.

So no, I have not changed my mind.

When did the Philadelphia Eagles throw in the towel?

You're missing the point. Giving up a pick (2) in the future who could be a Brace, a Chad Jackson (another 2), for a known commodity now, in a position of great need.

Comprende amigo?

Am I missing something? I thought DRC was an underachiever who got torched alot last year.

Yes, I'd trade Ron Brace for DRC. No, I wouldn't trade Gronk for DRC.

You be sure to let me know where that "top 8 team" qualifier was. Until then, anybody who says it can't get any worse deserves to be lectured.

Whatever happened to the talents of Nhamdi Asomugha?.....seems ever since he left Oakland for Philly he has been nothing special,at one time he was to the corner spot position what Revis is now, dominant and shut down.

I don't think you understand how the draft works.

Hes 31 and no longer a shut down corner. Even Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey aren't what they used to be- but pretty damn good. Rod Woodson went through a similar transition. Not as much press/MtM and more zone double-team work extended their careers.

We need to draft DBs. BB should stop getting cute when it comes to DBs and just draft sure picks instead of boom busters that always bust

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie would be an awesome force on our team. *sigh* if only.

Just so he can use that second rounder to draft players like D. Butler and co? He needs to just trade those draft picks away and get some talent since he's obviously clueless at drafting defensive backs.

Or Gronk, Vollmer, Spikes, Ridley, Vereen, Wilson, Welker(traded for a 2nd) Cunnigham, or trade up to the first to get a Chandler Jones.
Nah, those picks are useless.....

Absolutely correct, IMHO, drafting/talent recognition doesn't seem to be the issue here. The Pats have drafted effectively at all position groups these past five or six years except two: WR and DB, and regarding the WRs, they have found a variety of ways to be successful in spite of their inability to bring in and develop draftees. They have not been able to do the same with the DBs.

I think it is time for them to seriously consider bringing in some experienced help on the coaching side of this equation. To me, that is where the solution lies. Would I love to see them bring in someone with DRC's talent, yes, but I don't see that as being the cure-all. In fact, there is someone out there that would be the ideal candidate were it not for his one character flaw of being a disloyal rat-bastard. Surely there is someone else out there, however, that can do a more effective job than Josh Boyer or whomever it is that Belichick is relying on back there. I think they need to go in that direction.

Ahhh don't tease me.

For me it'd depend on whether he can sign long term for a reasonable deal, which probably isn't going to happen. As far as the pick goes I wouldn't have an issue giving up a 2nd for him, it's either him or draft another Ras I dowling/Darius Butler take your choice.
