New England Patriots create a scene in London - ESPN Boston

"LONDON -- Bob Oblachinski was on a double-decker bus traveling the streets of London when he looked out the window and saw a group of 50 mostly large men in gray sweatshirts running around in historic Hyde Park. He didn't think twice about it.

Oblachinski, a native New Englander, was returning to London on Friday afternoon from a trip to Paris. When the bus arrived at its next stop, he had a thought: Could that possibly be his beloved New England Patriots?

The locals may not have paid much attention, but Patriots fans in London could witness their team going through the motions in Hyde Park.
"I got off the bus and walked back, and sure enough, it was," said Oblachinski, who watched most of the team's 45- to 60-minute walk-through practice. "It was fantastic, great access, just a loose group of guys having fun, going through their plays and different sets......."

Yea, That's just pure awesomeness.

It was noted, maybe not in it's own thread. Real fun moment for a lot of reasons including how it ran contrary to Bill's 007 penchant. Of course the Yank mediots mostly missed out, and the small audience that gathered couldn't have passed on information on formations if their life depended on it! Probably a hoot for these guys having in some cases to explain to inquisitive folks who they were and wth they were doing... Certainly lightened the mood. I know Bill would almost rather undergo surgery without anesthesia than do a promotional trip like this, but he really seemed to be enjoying himself more than usual at the rally's and he was more forthcoming with the mixed media than his usual reticent self. There is a fine line between having fun and losing focus, and it's hard to enjoy the process when it's been unexpectedly difficult and you're fronting a young and impressionable team. This was a great experience for them. They enjoyed themselves a little and they played very well.

Obviously, it was a great team building experience which they will remember.

Having lived years ago for a few months off of Bayswater Road, I can't fathom what it would have been like to jog in Hyde Park and all of a sudden see the Patriots team working out on the lawns.

To that guy in the article from Massachusetts, it had to have been the most surreal experience.

They done a walkthrough and after they had the time to take pictures with people. It was a great thing to do there was a few hundred people stopped Plenty of people in the UK know a lot about football MoLewisRocks I think you underestimate some people also it was public park anyone from the Rams could have been there. Teams always do a public walkthrough in london though. With it being on fridays most fans haven't arrived by then. below are some pictures from Gateshead senators american football club based in North East England.

Sadly, (or not ); I was with my 3yr old down at Leeds castle while they were in Hyde park. My daughter loved the castle, not sure she would have understood why daddy wants to watch those strange men run around (had I known). Can't replace the family time; but would have been cool if I could have somehow done both none the less.
