i hope everybody makes it thru the hurricane safe and sound. there's a good chance this board will be dead the next several days with all the power outages that are expected. i can only imagine what the flight home is going to be like for the pats. its my understanding they did in fact fly out after the game. hoping im wrong on that.

they just flew into Logan...and man, are Gronk's arms tired...:lol2:

According to Reiss they're supposed to be heading out around 5am London time - let's hope they get home safely.

In the meantime best wishes to everyone on here as well. Please be sure to check in throughout and let us know you're O.K. and stay safe.

Best wishes to all and, for those of you who prefer the American style, may God let your beer stay cold. :)

Stay safe, everyone.

hey...maybe I'll invite Sanchez and Tebow up here to Casa Joker...wrecks is giving them Monday and Tuesday off anyway...we can play board games like "What Would Jimmy Swaggert Say" and I could introduce Marky to the local girl scout troop as they sandbag the playground

Captain Roger Goodell will invite Sanchez and Tebow on a two hour cruise aboard the SS Minnow after watching Sunday's debacle.

What hurricane?

And everyone else be safe.

Best wishes to all. Stay safe, don't panic, keep in touch.

I don't know if it means anything, but late last night I got an email from my insurance company about how to file claims, etc.

Here's hoping I don't have to. :rocker:

Stay safe everybody.....

(as of 5AM) latest storm track takes Sandy further west and south, more MD,NJ, PA as opposed to NYC-Rhody-MA. We will still get wind and rain but less of it, accd to National Weather Service. Hope we al make it through safe and sound.

God bless all of you in the Northeast....I live down in Florida at present and am the "veteran" of many hurricanes over the past bunch of years. This is a big storm that is going to cause alot of flooding and power outages. Make sure to take the proper precautions. But lots of canned and dry foods and ALOT of bottled water. Get extra medical supplies just in case. Fill the bathtubs for water to use to wash up with if god forbid the water systems get "bacteria-ized!" And most importantly......EVACUATE if you are near areas that are going to flood or are in an area that is going to be a focal point of the hurricane path....especially out by the ocean!!! Good luck and prepare well folks!!!

new england will face the worst rain and winds from noon today through late evening timeframe...please stay safe...

Judging from the current track I think you all will be fine, just be prepared anyway. I just had to evacuate for Hurricane Isaac back in August, it's not a fun time.

Yeah, here in Montgomery County Maryland we are hearing from the Guv that this may be upgraded to a Cat-2 by mid afternoon today for us.

Prepping the last 3 days (didn't stop me and the son from hitting Urban BBQ for the Pats game on the tv's yesterday!). All items off the deck and porch. Borrowed out neighbor's extra generator. Schools are cancelled today and tomorrow. The kids slept in our bedroom last night. We have the basement and storage room all set up for possible tonight which is forecast to be the zenith of the storm. Keeping a weary eye on the tall trees in the backyard.

So far just very steady rain and moderate winds.

Stay safe everybody and looking forward to "reading all your voices" as long as we have power!

Salam to all,,and my prayers are for everybody to be safe and take care from this storm. Take it serious and always take precaution from wondering outside. God Bless to you all. Abdul from Bahrain.

So far Frankenstorm is a bust here in southern NH even though the kids have no school.

Umm...first off be greatful. Secondly, the worst is yet to come even though you guys will likely be on the very fringes of it. Having kids trying to get home 4-5 hours from now in potential 30-40 MPH winds and rain and snarled traffic would be erring on the side of idiocy. The storm is still over 300 miles away.

Stick together and stay safe. Best wishes to all ...

Yeah, you guys are going to probbaly only get the fringes of this.

BTW, for those in the DelMarVa region, this is the best, and most real-time, source for updates:

Capital Weather Gang - The inside scoop on D.C., Maryland and Virginia weather and beyond from PostWeather - The Washington Post

"9:15 a.m. update: Sandy is showing signs of transitioning from a hurricane into a hurricane-nor’easter hybrid but it continues to intensify. It has started to make its turn towards the coast. Rainfall is picking up throughout the region and flood warnings have been issued for Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties through 3 p.m. Some rainfall rates have reached 2 inches per hour. Moderate to heavy rain will continue through the morning with winds steadily building."

Tonight between 5pm and tomorrow morning will be the worst part.

Pats fan on Long Island here, amidst the Jets :D and Giants . So far, this storm is less than Irene last year. But Mrs. Rover and I are awaiting this evening into tomorrow. We live mid-island, so not worried about flooding. But losing power would not be fun.
