id say dillon and faulk are the two that look a lil ehhh at their cap numbers
and colvin whos startin to grow very old on me
he never panned out to be the player he was in training camp his 1st year. it's astounding that he plays as well as he does, but he's not the "where is colvin?" player he was brought in to be.
IMHO patriots need one of those crazy OLBs that colvin was supposed to be. vrabel is very valuable as a player for 25 snaps a game, not out there every dang play.
IMHO patriots also need a quick young ILB who just wants to go to the ball. alexander is not that kind of LB, and would be better outside. bruschi is the signal caller. he may have lost a step, i don't care. he's important on the sidelines, and in the huddle.

it seems to me faulk has become a better RB every year he's been here. he was one of those dangerour, game-breaker types in college. he reminds me of mack herron. but mini-mack was much faster. that's faulk's flaw. at $3.4 mill, i wonder. how can he have a contract like that when viniateri didn't? when the're noot gonna pay daniel graham?
dillon: if his history is an indication, he won't accept a pay cut. on the other side, it's clear to me that he enjoys playing here, for a winner, with coaches he respects. he's still hungry. if he can still stand 15 carries a game, he wears defenses down. no fumbles, good pass blocker. but $3.4 million? who made that deal? and they won't want to pay graham, one of the best-blocking TEs in the game? samuel, the "ball magnet" (ty law)?
i'm getting tired of this.
any system still needs the players. IMO pro football is a coaches' game, not a players' game. but ya still gotta have the talent and the experience on the field. we sure coulda used mcginest against the colts, woulda kept alexander on ST. would kraft have commited to an extra $3 million to win that game, $20 mil under the salary cap?
this cheapskate stuff is starting to urinate me off.
