1. Ninkovich could be in the pro bowl this year, looking at those numbers he's top 5 in his position in the conference (and so is Jones)

2. Mesko is having a pretty subpar year when compared to his peers

3. Wes is leading NFL in yds and receptions (again)

4. Pats OLmen are unknowns compared to previous years

5. We have a RB pretty highly

6. AFC's best QB's for last decade are still the same

7. Ahern not on the list

8. Our secondary sucks

9. Wilfork is having a pretty nice year, but stats dont show it (per usual)

10. Mayo and Spikes having a HELL of a year, same comment applies here as in #1

JJ Watt's stat line makes me sick.

27 solo tackles, 9.5 sacks, 10 passes defensed.

Last year's AFC ST Pro Bowler isn't even on the list this year...

Out of the 27 something like 15 are TFL which also leads the league.

How the hell has he become that good? Before the draft he didn't look like a "special" talent.

I'm glad the Pats have Solder, but I have to say that if the Texans had offered a straight-up trade for Watt during the draft last year, I'd have made that trade in a heartbeat.

It's called heart and desire that separates talent that fails to show on the field like Mario Williams to talent like Watt who puts it all on the line, every game, every snap.

I want ONE.....just one of the players in our secondary to show love and desire for the game like JJ does...just ONE.

Welker Brady Gronk and mankins are the only pats on offense that should make the pro bowl and wilfork jones and mayo on defense

The tape was great but not special. The size, athleticism, and work ethic were all absolutely special.

I had had been in charge, the Pats would have traded up from 17 to 10 to grab Watt. I was that sure he was going to be awesome. That said, the picks that probably would have been given up to get to pick 10 ended up turning into Solder (who himself has a ridiculously high ceiling but hasn't gotten there yet), Vereen (who is another top-5 all-time binkie), and Chandler Jones (no complaints by anybody there).

Well...he was definitely a good prospect. That's why he went where he went but did you honestly expect him to put up numbers like that ever? 9.5 sacks in 7 games? I thought at best he'd be a probowler...not DPOY in his 2nd season. In a draft do over he'd be the clear #1 pick imo.

Well, I was projecting him as a 2-gap DE as opposed to the 1-gapping that he's doing, but I saw him as a Richard Seymour kind of player in his second year after bulking up. With proper longevity, that's at least a HoF kind of career.

I think the scheme in the texans D suits him far better though.

He was my binky+++. My heart sank when he went so early and I'm still depressed about it.

I'll be honest. As much as I am a life-time fan of football, and a Patriots Homer, I'm having a hard time casting any votes for the Pro Bowl.

The Pro Bowl is a dinosaur that needs to go away. It serves only as a cash cow for the NFL & Broadcasters, and a potential source of career-ending injuries for the players. None of them seem to pass muster with me any more.

If the NFL wanted to honor the best players every year, a better way would be to use the Pro-Bowl voting format, then rather than pay the players, make donations in that amount to the player's favorite charity in their name. Give them a ring/plaque/whatever for being the best of the best, and save everyone the faux-drama of the Pro Bowl game and all the hoopty=hoop that goes with it.

YMMV, but that's how I see it.

I bet he really improved his 'training regimen' when he got to the NFL. The team doct...errr...trainers are much better than in college.

Hernandez is not on the list because at the time it was being compiles he was injured. Teams can add a player if they are so inclined.

Mankins only sniffs it on name reconition. Gronk may as well but it's looking like it will be tough for him to put up the numbers due to his injuries and others and possibly some agenda driven game planning.

Watts should be the leading vote getter of all NFL players.

But yes, I agree Spikes, Mayo, Wilfork, and Ninko all deserve consideration. Kind of odd that on a defense that many of us would consider to be VERY suspect we have four potential Pro Bowlers (of course, we all realize the problem is the secondary, but still strange).
