curious to see if he is fined for the hit.....

No way it was actually a collision as Green tried to lower his shoulder and it was totally clean. Did the dude that leveled Welker last week get fined?

I was a bit disappointed in the run D overall yesterday.

It was 20(ish) yards more than the average! If the Jets had the same amount of rush yards as the week before, then I would be disappointed!

Ouch! Clean hit, too.

I cannot imagine too many running backs or slot receivers are looking forward to meeting up with Spikes, Mayo and Hightower.

This is a great trio of young linebackers, and when Ninkovich joins them in a 3-4, it's as good a group as the Mike Vrabel, Tedy Bruschi, Ted Johnson, Roman Phifer group back in 04-05.

It's not Ouch. It's POWWWWWW!!! When Spikes makes a big hit.

Cox would have been proud.

Reminds me a lot of Cox in his prime. A true destroyer. Maybe not the best, or the most talented, but plays with heart and reckless abandon.

You go to the Jets board and they feel it is a hit on a defenseless receiver and should have been a 15 yard foul. Further proving many Jets fans are among the most misinformed fans among the league.

I think I am going to be Brandon Spikes for Halloween because he is one scary mofo.

Wow...broad brush there. I will say this the fans on gang green are mostly childish. Not all but many.

I said "many Jets fans", not all.

We need to send a video of all his greatest hits to every opposing RB and slot receiver we play :)

On a side note, Greene did fall ever so slightly forward after the hit. Granted spikes slowed down to make the contact, but still impressive Greene got back up after doing a check on his central nervous system.

He probably didn't realize he was knocked out. I'm just amazed he held onto the ball

If you watch the replay, it's more about Greene hitting Spikes than the other way around. Greene was the initiator, but winds up getting the worst of it. What a collision. I was a little afraid of how Spikes arms went (almost like flailing), and was glad HE was the one getting up fast.

Why would he be fined? - he led with the shoulder.

When I saw the the hit I yelled YES!- then I saw Green laid out and said - oh crap- then I saw Green get up and yelled - YES! again:D

I believe this is now the fourth RB Spikes has destroyed this season. Am I missing one anywhere?

Shonne Green
Fred Jackson
CJ Spiller
Marshawn Lynch

Do we count Ryan Williams and the fumble Spikes forced against Arizona?

Complete difference. The impact to Spikes occurred most in the shoulder pads. With Greene, it was the helmet.

Willis McGahee?

Spikes LIT HIM UP! Great hit! Greene was trying to punish Spikes but he ended up getting the worse of that exchange. Yeah those big collisions are always impressive. It's part of why we watch football! Luckily nobody was seriously hurt.

And no, there is no fine warranted. The dumb jets fans don't understand that in this case Greene is a RB and not a WR therefore that rule doesn't apply to him because he wasn't lined up while trying to catch a ball. Ignorant Jets fans. If their coach said the same thing he is doubly ignorant of the rules. And you call yourself an NFL coach?

Greene tried to come back, too.

Tried is right... After coming back into the game, did you notice how woozy Greene was after taking another pretty light blow to the helmet? Doesn't such follow-on sensitivity suggest "concussion" from the first hit?
