watching the Bucs game and Tiquan made a nice TD grab on the first drive. Looking at all the options we had on are roster at WR Tiquan has actually been the most impressive player we cut.

Coming into this game he has 6 catches for 119 yards in 3 games. Not all pro numbers but he is only 25yrs old and has a good skill set at 6'1 with good athleticism.

If the team used Slater a bit more on offense as a low depth WR,which I don't know why they don't,he would have similar numbers IMO

Slater has speed and from the few catches I have seen he might have the hands too,but for some reason they opt to keep him solely at STs

Brady does not like you, you are gone.

He couldn't catch or run routes, there's a reason he didn't stick around.

Yeah, the Pats WRs are held to higher standards than other teams' WRs. Underwood did not pass the Brady test.

It was a routine catch. Not trying to denigrate Tiquan, but who was he going to beat out? And don't tell me Edelman.

While it would have been nice to keep Underwood and develop him, who do you cut to make room for him?

Don't forget that during the offseason it appeared that the Pats would also have Jabar Gaffney (or possibly Donte Stallworth) on their roster this season. Prior to Gaffney's unforeseen hamstring injury, at the time of Underwood's release I don't see how the Pats could have made room for him on the roster.

Pats never have been able to develop a prototype receiver. Even if they had andre johnson , there is no saying he would be sucessful here. its a strange scheme vs player match and for some dumb luck all the WR's who seem to play for the pats are thin undersized receivers.

We also cut Branch, Stallworth, and Gaffney. It was an overloaded position and you can't keep everyone.

Underwood is a good kid, but he didn't even make the Bucs roster initially, getting cut by his former college coach. He was re-added to the roster after the season started.

I liked him, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. In fact, it probably wasn't even worth the two minutes it took to type up this response.

Why is everyone in love with this guy? Really isn't anything special imo.

More scores than B. Lloyd.

:nono:

First, that's wrong. They both have 1.

Second, are we evaluating receivers by TDs only? Does that mean Underwood is the equal to Calvin Johnson?

I swear, fantasy football is ruining this game...

Its funny to me that the MOD moved this post to the practice squad. Like a thread about a young player we cut starting to develop isn't worthy of a conversation.

What makes it funny to me is the threads I see still open and some of them were created by MOD's.

In the future if a MOD is going to disrespect me I'd appreciate them at least letting me know what their reason was. I open very few threads and they're are others who open and post nonsense all day and night.

It has nothing to do with respect, it has to do with lamenting the loss of a "fill in receiver" who moved on for a contract that he would have never seen in New England...

After he left the Patriots, he was signed and then released and then resigned by the Bucs... at best he is JAG... and a fill in wide receiver..

There is no room for a guy like this right now on this roster.. who would he replace??? Currently he has the fifth most receptions on a 2-4 team...

How many drops does he have? He can't hang with our crew who lead the league!
