This is a must win game because it's a divisional game for the Pats. The Jets have always been tough and I expect the same today.

Things to look for:

1) Who starts at CB opposite McCourty? Dennard showed some good skills but still got beat. He's a rookie, so getting beat is to be expected. Arrington, Dowling, and Moore have also seen time there.

2) Is this the game Vereen finally steps up? With Bolden out, the Pats need Vereen to step up and help with the running game, though Woodhead and Ridley could handle it, an injury to either forces a lot of pressure onto Vereen

3) The Pats will be without Tracy White again this week. This guy is the best special teamer we have not named Slater. Tarpinian was promoted to help out there and to possibly act as a coverage LB.

4) Hopefully Hightower returns. His absence has been felt on defense. His not being there has forced the Pats to use Ninkovich at SLB and Cunningham at DE. That combination didn't allow the Pats to get extra pressure on Wilson last week. And it clearly hurt the Pats in passing situations.

5) The coaches not making hairbrained moves, particularly with under 2 minutes left in the half or in the game. Letting 25 seconds come off the clock last week prior to the half before calling the Time out sure hurt the Pats.

I hope that the Pats come out with the "gas pedal" floored and let the offense RUN wild over the Jets. The Jets have one of the worst run defenses in the league even when Pouha is healthy and he's not. Use the run to set up the Play-action and tear them apart.

I want to see how they handle a short lead at the end, knowing Sanchez will drive down the field do we try to win or give it away.

I'd like to see a fair bit of Vereen today, if you look at the players who have run for big yardage on the Jets this year it's been the smaller, shiftier players.

Nice points DB. I'm also really hoping Vereen shows something this week or I'd be very concerned about his inability to contribute. I can't understand why he can't at least be tried out at KR where we've been completely ineffective since early 2010.

BB sometimes carries players who do nothing on the field for a long time. Dowling is another and marquise hill was the leader of this pack.

What i'd like to see is a full 60 minute effort from the offense, defense and coaching.

Pouha is not even in Foxboro.....little regarded UDFA rookie Damon Harrison is starting at the most crucial position on defense,NT

yes and a full 15 mins from the jest!

Hopefully not the final 15 mts! :)

I expect their O to test new and creative strategies against us that use T-bo and Hill a lot. In fact, I expect them to do the no-huddle often.

I notice a recurring theme of people saying Hightower's presence on defense has been missed. Can you please point out a game to me where he was super effective? Don't say the Titans game just because he recovered a Chandler Jones strip sack for a TD.

I do think Hightower will be a solid contributor eventually but he's been pretty pedestrian in the time that he's out there so far. Heck, against the Ravens he was basically invisible. He's got a lot of learning to do.
