Re: Inactives for the Jets game.

Who would play corner? :(

That's the thing I don't get with all this McCourty to safety talk. He is easily the Pats' best CB. So they weaken the CB position even more to strengthen the safety position.

With Keller still hobbled and not a TE who usually breaks it very often, I think CB is more important this weekend.

Re: Inactives for the Jets game.

I know it was expected, but still glad to see Hightower active. Time to get back to the beast mode that he was entering when he got hurt.

Re: Inactives for the Jets game.

Just throw Dowling back there. Can't be any worse than any of the safeties in pass defense namely Chung. I'll give Wilson and Ebner the rookie break. I'd even given Ebner more of a break because he is a damn converted rugby player.

Although who knows maybe once Ebner progresses enough to start seeing more reps he might have that ball hawk instinct that Chung seriously lacks.

Last time Chung had a legitimate int was Week 4 of 2010. The one he had last year was a gift from Jason Campbell.

Yeah, if he can get 2 INTs from NT, imagine...
He'd get at least one against a competent QB.
So he'd get five on Sanchez. And an extra 1 on Tebow from a fake punt.

Sterling Moore?

Sterling Moore?

Not a bad idea, if he is healthy. Might also consider just putting Moore at safety and not weakening the CB position which, although suckish, is still doing better than the safeties.

Inactives declared 47 hours before kick-off. Did BB die?

They were ruled out. Though the past few weeks, we knew that some of the players wouldn't play due to injuries on Sat and not on Friday.

What I love about Sterling is, sure he'll get beat. But he is one clutch son of a gun. If he could put away a few games for us, I'd be okay with that.

Unfortunately Sterling gets beat a lot.

True, which is why I think he shouldn't be more than a reserve/dime back. Don't throw him out into the fire at the #2 spot and let him get murded. I want Moore to stick around because he can make that big play as we saw in the AFCCG and in the Denver game two weeks ago.

Re: Inactives for the Jets game.

Can you imagine him playing press? Even if he doesn't get his hands on the receiver, it'll take the receiver five seconds to run around him.
