Against the Pats...or so he says....Looks like the great "genuflector" will be not only lining up in the wildcat...but as a RB as well....that ought to be interesting....OR NOT!!!!!! ;))

Tim Tebow's Ability to Play Running Back Gives Jets Big 'Advantage' Against Patriots Defense - New England Patriots - NESN.com
I swear there are people who don't just believe this guy is committed to God, they believe he is God.

Wait....Tebow.....big advantage?

those don't go in a sentence together.

Just like jets and winning.

just does not work.

Stopped reading that article after "Tim Tebow is already a dangerous weapon in the jets offense"

Lol noway, maybe he could be a decent a tight end. Running back? Child please.

big advantage? HAHA

re: NESN's Luke Hughes: Tim Tebow's ability to play RB gives Jets Big "Advantage" vs Pats

That worked out exceptionally well for the Broncos... twice.

I don't see him as a RB ... a 3rd TE, an H-back, A RB for a screen pass, a WR for a quick pass behind the line of scrimmage. maybe some of those but not a dedicated RB unless we turn back the clock and he can morph into a modern version of Jim Kick.

The demolition derby they ran on Tebow tells otherwise.

He's committed to the glorification of Tim Tebow more than anything else, God is just a conduit for that cause.

Re: NESN's Luke Hughes: Tim Tebow's ability to play RB gives Jets Big "Advantage" vs

Given that we've been good at stopping other teams run game then how is using Tebow as a RB suddenly a big "advantage" for the Jets? :bricks:

Re: NESN's Luke Hughes: Tim Tebow's ability to play RB gives Jets Big "Advantage" vs

Obviously there is historical evidence to back up Hughes' opinion.

After all, the last time Tebow faced the Patriots he ran for 13 yards, for an average of 2.6 yards per carry.

his only use as an rb would be if he was used in trick plays like the one the Seahawks used with rice. but rice is probably a better passer

tebow and sanchez on the field at the same time?

The levels of suck would approach epic proportions.

Re: NESN's Luke Hughes: Tim Tebow's ability to play RB gives Jets Big "Advantage" vs

What has Tebow shown that he is a RB? Being a QB who scrambles doesn't mean he can line 7-8 yards off the balll and take the hand off and run to the line before the defense is in the backfield.

I personally think if they line Tebow up at RB and give him the ball, it will be a failure. Ridiculous article.

LOL this might be true if Tebow played more than a handful of snaps per game but he doesn't! Hard to make an impact on the bench! IDIOT!

He did it pretty regularly at Florida under Meyer's spread option scheme where the quarterback is typically lining up where the RB is anyway. But this isn't college.

I think the only concern I have is seeing Tebow running up to the line, and then passing. I think that's the only way having him line up in the backfield can be effective. Pats D are true Jeckylls & Hydes, great against the run, putrid against the pass.

It is different from being the QB in a RB position than being the RB lining up behind the QB.
