Rex Ryan admits Bill Belichick is better coach | NJ.com
After three-plus years of proclamations and bluster, Rex Ryan today admitted that Patriots coach is better than him.

"If it’s just between Belichick in me, he’s going to win that battle," Ryan said. "I recognize that, but it’s not going to be for lack of effort."

Ryan later added, that although he said in July that he was the best defensive coach in the league, it was not a general statement.

"I don’t think I’m the best head coach in the league," Ryan said. "I think he is. I was truthful about that."
What no Bulletin board material this week?????????????????????????????

he is lulling us to sleep

Breaking?

He says this every freaking year.

*beep!*BB is the better coach, this is a recording*beep!*

Will let you know after Sunday.

I say props to Rex Ryan for what seems like genuine praise.

I think when Rex Ryan first came to the Jets he wanted to enhance his legacy by creating some personal fued with Bill Belichick, some head to head coaching rivalry he hoped he would get the best of. I recall him always putting heavy emphasis on it being himself versus Belichick, coach versus coach.

He's seemed to back off that since getting swept last season.

For what it's worth, I would take Rex Ryan as a defensive coordinator right now, as long as he could keep his mouth shut.

BB is Rexy's secret binkie.

I still recall him saying the Jets were better at every position except QB & coach.

I'm pretty sure he's done this before.

The guys a total mess. His two faced cr@p is way out there.( He's the best..Oh uh...Bills the best...Um..Their going to beat us..No.. I think we can beat them)... He wants to build his own legacy so bad that he spews out bull without really thinking it thru. It really is a circus over there. :p

To be fair , Ryan has always maintained that belichick was the better coach. I recall him saying something to the effect of "if the game were between belichick and I, bill would win hands down. But the game is between his team and my team and we have the better team"

Who gives a rat's *** about what this fat faak has to say anyways.

I think Rex is a better DC then BB right now. BB is a better HC for sure.
when you become a before HC you lose a bit on the DC as you do OC and Spl team along with GM duty.

How is this different than kissing BBs rings?

It's funny that we still take offense to actual praise.

How is this a breaking news story?

Rex has more than once said Belichick was a better coach, its not something he ever denied before.

What he always says is he wants his team to be what the Patriots are right now,he wants to be as successful as the Pats are and its obvious as every new player the Patriots have, the Jets counter with in the draft or in FA to challenge the new Pats talent

Bell and Landry are two recent examples of how Rex designs his team around defending the Patriots,Bell and Landry were specifically signed by Rex to contain Hernandez and Gronkowski ..... that IS a fact

Rex also signed Holmes to pick on the Pats secondary who he knows is very weak and with little talent.

Is Rex obsessed with trying to beat the Patriots to a division title?...perhaps he is and that is part of the reason why his team dissapoints, you must build your team to win TITLES,not just focusing on one rival.
