That makes no sense at all. I can see them be lulled to sleep if the other team runs the ball 20x in a row and then goes deep, but that's clearly not the case. Wilson was lobbing rainbows out there all 4th qtr. Fans at home knew it was coming, how didn't they?

Stupid comment by a rookie.

Anyone who says that they didn't LOL after reading this is lying.

All I can say is WTF DOES THAT MEAN???

Are these guys falling into outer space with QBs changing plays ect:

I do not understand what he means, but it sounds alarming like they are not fully out there with desire,I am confused here.

I glad you posted this. I read this earlier and was telling my girl, "WTF". After that debacle this wk end, thats what we get. OH BOY, I feel so much better now. :bricks:

when I read the title of this thread I said to myself .. "no way, he didn't say that." ... lol .. :bricks:

He looks like one of our top CBs. I expect him to start Sun.

I wish Belichick would get more strict with these secondary guys in practice, make them run extra laps each week they give up multiple TDs

Sounds to me like discipline is lacking seriously in that area,we need a general to gather these troops for battle each Sunday.

Does anyone really need to tell these guys they need to stay focused?......this secondary is BADLY missing a VOCAL LEADER like Rodney......I mean badly missing one, these guys are way too nonchalant for the NFL

they will start arrington..then when he gives up a big play they will put someone else in..back and forth back and forth

Well getting your ass kicked all over the field will do that to you I guess. They just get a bit tuckered out that's all.

he is the only one in the secondary that can actually cover a WR.

McCourty is better in coverage than Dennard is.

At this point, all that we really know is that McCourty is solid in coverage, Chung and Arrington are bad, and the jury's still out on the rest.

I would definitely agree that DMcC is still the best coverage CB that we have, the problem is his consistency, and his tendency to never turn and look for the ball too much.

If he could only play more consistently, he could go back a lot closer to his 2010 form, but that is yet to be determined.

I'm still thinking that they should have gone after a mediocre/middle of the road type CB signing this past March, and that they'll definitely be bringing in someone from the outside again one way or another. In other words, not a big name like Carr for big money, but still someone in the 3rd or so tier of CB free agents. It's debatable where he'd fit in to that very broad spectrum, but I was thinking someone in the mold of the Leigh Bodden signing that we had a few seasons ago.

The problem is that so many overpay at the position of CB.

On top of that, I also expect at least a couple of more draft picks at the CB/S positions too.

Until they hit on this, they will have to keep battling--unless of course, it is scheme based more than talent. If that is the case, then that needs to be explored too.

Just wait a season, they will coach that out of him.

I'm wondering if it isn't more scheme based problems?

According to some 'in the know' who closely follow the team like some of the beat reporters etc, the secondary coaches are more than capable. There's also the fact that Dom Capers coached the secondary a few yrs ago, and that didn't make any difference either.

It's either talent or scheme in my opinion. Possibly a bit of both.

It would just seem to be very strange to me that Belichick would be dumb enough to sit back and watch a disasterous coaching display in the worst part of the team and continue to allow that to happen.

I am starting to think that the responsibilities of the secondary players may be a little too much, combined with a lack of talent in some areas. Just my 2 cents though of course.

I actually think the dude is incredibly smart......

he has already achieved what Boyer is looking for......only took him 6 weeks while it has been taking the others much longer

I'd bet he's thinking if he says he falls asleep, then Boyer will stop trying to ruin him

I really wish we could have a five minute, unadulterated peek into BB's thinking on this topic....
