For two days now the NFL on its web site has featured Sherman of the Seahawks berating Brady as he walks off of the field. Seems somewhat duplicitous of their so called standards of the "brand" by doing this is promoting poor sportsmanship and uncivil behavior....

There have been a few highlights since then, or perhaps it is as simple as the vitriol for the patriots by the NFL is greater than their need for civility..

you should probably keep this on the political board

it's football....grow a pair

Yes, you do need to grow a pair to go out there against monsters like Red Bryant. It is football after all.

But I am impressed that an NFL player posted this thread on the forum. That's wonderful.

What?

What's that???

You mean he's just an ordinary poster and not a player?

Just making a simple post about the NFL's hypocrisy?

Oh, I see.

Sorry everyone, I was lead astray by a lame attempt to hijack the thread with a totally irrelevant point.

LOL.........what?

He is asking why he needs to "grow a pair" to visit a web site. He is saying he isn't a football player, he is just a viewer.

oh.....thanks for tha clarification

I though he was complaining that after the game that players need to be like small children and exchange candy or something

if you look at the way the game is played, between what brady said prior to the game and how it turned out, I'd say everything was veyr fitting.

this is what happens when you don't back up your talk

just remember....pinky out!

Agreed the fact that no one has called this guy out for the complete ass he is is a complete joke. But people would rather the story be Brady and the Patriots knocked down a peg or 2.

To me say whatever you want on the field of play. And even say what you want after the game but you just dont run right up to the face of the guy you just beat and start boo yeahing right in his face. You want to go to twitter with it fine you want to make comments at a presser or in the locker room to media fine. I might not always like what you have to say but at least show some sort of restraint/sportsmanship.

Even when the Patriots did the lights out thing in San Diego they did it on the emblem not in someones face or not intentionally in someones face. It was clearly directed at Merriman and for the record I thought that to be highly disrespectful too but I think getting inches from someones face takes it to another level.

And to be honest I wonder why Brady didnt just hit or at least push him back and I especially wonder where the rest of our team was. Had anyone started a fight and got Brady's back there they would be an instant fan favorite.

Another day another cyber worrier, and a troll to boot.....yawn

LOL.....troll......you have no clue what one is

but thank god for the memories of a bygone era
After reading all your negative posts for the last couple of years you qualify as one...a troll that is. Your no different than any other troll that shows up here and trashes the team, and i'm not the only one that has noticed this.

Someone should start a thread on this tomorrow.;)

I don't have a problem with the fact that this occurred so much as the NFL condoning it. However, they have stuff like this on their main page all the time. Helmet to helmet hit? Headline: "player xyz takes a hard hit from player abc, (watch video?)".

The web site caters to the audience with not much thought to what the NFL claims to condone or condemn.

what.....on the merits of disturbing your fantasy? the basis of your opinions don't have much validity, so why would you call me a troll unless you can be accurately viewed as a clueless m*ther******r???

can't have a great *********** if trolls keep refusing to lend a hand....:D

Not to mention that Brady didn't say anything remotely offensive prior to the game. He said they HOPED they could quiet the Seattle crowd.

Who cares, let them talk.

I'd love to see them again in the SB on a neutral field and see what Brady does to that secondary.

Seems to me the OP was just stating that promoting poor sportsmanship isnt really a good idea, especially with younger people idolizing these players. Kinda go's against their bogus image they claim to create. IMO. Plus that @hole(Sherman) pisses me off :p

We're living in a society now where the loudest idiot gets rewarded. Facts or who's right or wrong don't matter.

He's clearly a Jets troll with 4k posts as a poser. If he were a Pats fan he would know what Brady actually said prior to the game.

I agree with the OP. As for our part, should Patsfans.com be promoting whining and crying when our team drops a game? What about the children that look up to their messageboard poster heroes? Should these role models be teaching kids that acting like you have sand in your, umm, women's region, and crying about everything from bad officiating, to suddenly-bad rules, to the NFL.com website for god's sake, is how to take a loss?
