It's hilarious to see. We all indulge in the fact that TFB is our QB and then I see some posts saying that the loss is all his fault? If you hadn't noticed, Russell Wilson is a rookie. One who threw three easy TDs against our HORRENDOUS secondary. And SOMEBODY HAS TO CALL HOLDING! There's no way Jones wasn't held on the last Wilson TD. In fact, he got held by two different guys. I counted dozens others where they just flat out sent him to the ground.

I'm not going to spend much time whining about our loss like some others. And I know I'm going to get flamed for this. But I have to say it. We overreact just like other fanbases when their team loses a game. It's human nature. But try to think before you post. Sure, we're a 3-3 team. But we've lost in three games by a margin of four total points. FOUR. This is still a great football team, with a few large holes in it. No team's perfect. Everyone should stop overreacting to this.

And I'm not going to be all high and mighty and say that I don't do the same thing. The first reaction I had was to go and cut Brady. Three easy points given away... Maybe even six. All I'm saying is that everyone should calm down with all the negative thoughts. Because come next Sunday, when we thrash the Jests at home, things will go back to normal... Where we're kings of the AFC, as we should be.

Speak for yourself not for me and others.

Our offense leaves points on the field constantly, and our defense (secondary) couldn't cover a pop warner offense.

it's not all TB's fault, although he made plenty of horribly thrown balls today.

The team lost because the Patriots crapped the bed on Offense and Defense. They are both to blame.

The expectation for this offense is to score 35 points a game, so when they fall short, they get the blame.

I think it's not a bad thing for the Patriots to be fighting to win the division and get into the playoffs. Last year, the Giants had about a 20% chance of making the playoffs with a few weeks to go and same with the Packers the year before that.

I'm all for under the radar, and I was getting nervous to see the Pats moving up the Power Rankings this week. I hope this loss drops them out of contention of being considered an elite team again all season. All of these dramatic regular season wins over the last couple of years have gotten us nothing in the playoffs. For once I'd like to see teams play us when they are expected to win and uphold their magical regular season.

Everyone that defends this team for losing by one point is failing to miss the much larger picture. The secondary is complete crap and the "one point" garbage must be the same thing all of Belichick's yes men are feeding him.

And they still only lost by ONE POINT. The sky is not falling.
They are 3-3. The defense can't stop a flag football team and hasn't been capable in some years.

It's time a realist approach set in. With the current defensive set up, the Patriots are going to find it difficult to win anything when the offensive juggernaut stalls.

The best thing about 2012 is going to be the selections of Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower.

Loss is a loss is a loss. Especially to the worst offense int he league. So we lose 16 games by 16 points we should be happy?

I stand by my preseason W-L forecast of 10-6, barely making playoffs.

Right... The much larger picture being that we made the Superbowl last year with an arguably WORSE secondary, and our division sucks to the point where .500 is winning it. I'm feeding him the trust that he gained by coaching us to five Superbowls in 10 years.

I bank on us making the Superbowl every two years. And for the past decade, it's worked out pretty well.

F U & speak for yourself. IMHO this is what this team needs. When BB gets pizzed off at some players. He calls in free agents at their position for work outs. That's his way of sending a message.
I say Bob Kraft should do the same and openly invite D coaches into Gillette for interviews!!! That'll send the message to BB all right.

If you want me to speak for myself then I expect you to do the same. Do not speak for Belichick or Kraft, who have done nothing for this team but make one of, if not the best in the league.

Yes, because hiring another DC is going to threaten Bill, who is our Head Coach. I'm sure he's trembling in his hoodie.

LOL.

No dude.

We are not a great football team. Great football teams don't lose the way we did against Seattle and Arizona.

We have a very good offense and a below average defense.

No problem. But 2004 was a LONG time ago. The Randall Gay/Earthwind Moreland/Troy Brown secondaries aren't cutting it anymore, which is why there are 2 Lombardi's sitting at MetLife Stadium right now.

Spare me the "Super Bowl every 2 years" crap. That stat is as useless as all the other ones people trot out there. Every season is it's own entity, except for the fact that when the game is on the line our offense or our defense (or like today...both) curl up in the fetal position and let the other team have their way.

Like you said earlier, offense and defense to which I'd add coaching. Can't afford to thumb your nose at gimme points heading into the locker room. And aside from being the last line of defense not named Mesko on the punt coverage unit, if Vereen is active he ought to be available when Riddley is clearly struggling. We still cannot run to win when we need to. That makes us pass happy and **** happens when you are. Sometimes it's good (like for Seattle today) and sometimes it's bad (like for us today).
