if we did this with our first four pix i think we'd be sittin pretty
ESPECIALLY if we sign assante
i still want one free agent linebacker (adalius thomas please, if not london fletcher-baker)
and one free agent wr (bobby engram please)

i know ppl are saying we need cb's more than a safety
but if you watch the video of the indy game you'll agree with me
the corners played very well
and i know that's with assante, but the safeties played awful
and geno hasnt played that well lately and is a fa after next yr
and rodney is not young as we all know
we need a stud safety
and we need a couple stud lbers

im very excited to see what we do this offseason

I like it and we NEED A LB or two...but will BB and Belioli draft 2 LB's?
For some reason we don't draft many LB's...

Well with safeties, I'm confident with Eugene Wilson and Rodney Harrison for anotehr season. However at CB, it wasn't even injuries that made us look bad, it was just who we had.

we didnt ever look bad at corner
we looked very bad at safety without rodney

I don't really like to just name positions because you have to have the right name to put there.

That said, a first round of Patrick Willis and Michael Griffin is growing on me. Both need positions, both good intangible guys. Not for sure they'd both be there but it's very possible they would

id be very satisfied with those two
i like lamar woodley very much though too

If there's one thing the Indy game showed it's that the middle of our defense SUCKED. I understand Harrison was out. And Wilson. And Seau. But we need reinforcements in the middle very badly.

At this point, two of Willis, Griffin and Bowe would be very nice. There's not too many WR's I'd consider in the first round (assuming johnson, jarrett, ginn are gone), but Bowe is looking impressive.

Assuming Willis is off the board at #24......

I'm thinking CB at #24. Revis of Pitt. Has the best ball skills of all CB's in the draft. I think he drops to us because he can't run a 4.40. We once had Otis (5.20) Smith starting in a Super bowl, BB knows how to compensate for a lack of pure speed.

At #28 pass rushing OLB. Q Moses of Georgia. Provided he passes the Pats character test and runs 4.55 or better. In space he projects as a much better player than on the line with his hand down. A year to learn under Vrabel and Colvin and we could have something very special.

2nd Round ILB Harris of Michigan. Runs a 4.70, smart, does all the dirty work and is a total team player.

3rd Round Free safety - Gattis of Wake Forest. If he runs under 4.5. Smart. Play maker and ball hawk for the surprise team of the ACC. Does the little things that all championship teams need.

3rd round supplemental Ugoh ROT Arkansas. (Only if we keep Graham.) Best road grading ROT in years. Maroney will love him. I'm not sold on Kazcur or Britt at the ROT spot.

4th round - CB Gaddis of Clemson. Provided he runs well. He ate WR Calvin Johnson's lunch earlier this year. Yes he had a little help, but zero catches for Johnson speaks volumes. Needs time to season and grow.

4th round supplemental - WR Smith USC provided he runs under 4.55. His quickness and route running remind me of Branch. PS he also has to pass the Pats character and Wonderlic test.

6th round - Wynn RB Florida - Power with some speed. Can play special teams.

7th round (from Arizona) - ILB DeOssie of Brown. Can't teach size or speed. Also a potential ST Demon. Backup long snapper.

7th round - TE Patrick of Delaware. You know BB has to take a TE and this guy goes 270 plus pounds and can run a little and catch a little. Can play ST as well.

^his quickness reminds u of Branch? your kiddign right? Smith isnt fast or quick..hes just got good hands and smart.

his quickness is like .3 of Branch's

Yeah, Steve Smith isn't quick - I see him much more like Givens. Florida State's Chris Davis has a bit of a Branch look about him to me, although all I've see of him was his Senior Bowl practices.

i agree
teams will kill us in the slot if we dont do somthin about it

Front to Back, Inside to Out. That's how you build your defense. ILB and Safeties killed us against Indy - KILLED US.

I'de be very happy with them, but I don't think either will slip too us.
I do think we could end up with a chance to have, Reggie Nelson, and Lamar Woodley though.
