If he were a true Patriots fan, he would tell the Jets to stick it. If he says he is a fan of the Patriots, then he is being just as phony as his profession.

Cena and the Jets are prefect together, I don't see the problem. Cena doesn't deserve to be a Pats fan, the Jets suit him.

You can't she me [/Rock]

He is promoting the wrestling event... he is probably getting big bucks.

It would be great if he walked out in a Tom Brady jersey though

I think thats a bit of an overstatement. It's his livelihood.

Who ever told you that Cena's favorite team is the Patriots?...its not

Cena is a big Vikings fan

The article told me, I don't follow pro wrestling. I saw this on the Jets board, they never fail to amuse me.

John Cena is a huge phony.
He claims to be a Patriot fan.

Then he moved to Tampa and claimed to be a Bucs fan.

I saw him on Monday Night Raw again one night in Boston (No, I don't like wrestling, but I used to and know a lot about it) invoking the Patriots to try and get a home crowd who hates him to throw him some cheers.

And now he's the Jets captain to promote Wrestlemania.

I don't know about you guys but I'm voting him off the island.

I'm not a wrestling fan, but my brother is. He's a huge fan of John Cena.

For what it's worth he did buy his CD, which was released in 2005 I believe. There is a song on there called Beantown with a LOT of Boston sports references. The fact that he released a record nationally with a song called Beantown would support his assertion that he is a Boston fan.

For a taste here's some lyrics from the song........

It's John Cena baby, and we're heating up the Beanpot
Big up Boston, you know the whole team hot
Yo we're fresh, you're all a little bit stale
And we're 'bout to make it ugly just like Kevin McHale
Cena taking over - I'm 'bout to make the scene mine
I got a tea party, baby meet me on the Green Line
Ain't too many kids that flow better than me
Roll thick like Yaz's sideburns in seventy-three
Like Tom Brady and the Pats, we're rolling kids
Cross me and pay a toll like the Tobin Bridge
From the home of the curse, you all know what I mean
We like the left field wall, we stacking Monster Green
Knock you out of the park, you land on Yawkey Way
My **** be butter, but around here we say Parkay/parquet
I rent my own team, we're taking over the industry
Like the Big Dig, baby nobody can finish me

He specifically mentioned being a Patriots fan in a Super Bowl prediction too I believe.

Total joke ...of an embarrassment... of a travesty ...of a dog and pony show...of a circus clown act.

Who from Boston, or anywhere in New England for that matter, calls it "beantown"?

When is Ronald MacDonald showing up as the Green Beans' honorary captain? A bit overdue, isn't he?

Let's see if Koko B. Ware is available to be our captain tomorrow

John Cena is there to promote WrestleMania 29 which takes place at MetLife Stadium next spring. He's taking one on the chin for the WWE, which pays him a LOT of money to go around promoting the product.

He's worn a Yankees jersey as a bad guy. He's worn a Lakers jersey as a good guy. I think he's worn just about every jersey depending on the venue. He's a Boston guy through and through, but unlike Jack Nicholson (who famously refused to wear a Red Sox cap for his role in "The Departed"), Cena will do whatever his company tells him because he makes a good living out of it.

I've always been more of a Rock fan anyway. "Go Rebels!" :)

I guess Kevin O'Connell was unavailable today?

A "pro" wrestler who isn't forthcoming about his actions/beliefs? Who Knew?!

because Bozo The Clown agreed to terms with the Jets on an a vet-minimum contract for the remaining home games this season. Hell run out with the team and Rex at the start of each game.

Not everyone can be a Patriots fan, that's why John Cena is not a Patriots fan. He is as 'phony' as his stupid work.
