Roughly a 1/3 of the season gone so which division looks the strongest in the league?

I'd say it's between the AFC North, NFC East and NFC West.

The only reason I selected the NFC East is because of the Giants and their ability to drive me bat **** crazy.

In reality, I would have selected the NFC West given their defenses. Outside of that, all the divisions appear to be of a similar quality at this early stage.

AFC East, without a doubt....

Two words: Mark Sanchez

NFC West for me.

49ers - best team in football for me atm.
Seahawks - maybe best D in the league
Arizona - great D with playmakers on O
Rams - young but talented team (with their draft picks watch out for them in the future)

True, will be interesting to see what people will vote at the end of the season, i'll do one then aswell.

That is a pure physical and defensive division, i say it's a toss up between NFC West and East but the offensive prowess mixed with the playmaking defenses in the East gives them the edge.

It's a tough call but I'd say NFC east.
The other close ones are NFC west and AFC North
NFCW - I think AZ id pretty tough but overrated and should come back down to earth soon. Seattle doesn't have a legit QB IMO. Rams are better but nothing special.
AFCN - Baltimore is good but have been very lucky so far this year, should be 3-2 at best maybe 2-3. I think the Steelers got some tough times ahead and Bengals are same as last year, a borderline playoff team at best.

NFC Best. The other divisions have at least one doormat team (I consider the Cowboys such a team).

By the end of the year I wouldn't doubt that it is the NFC North, but at the moment I would say the NFC West. After that it's between the AFC North and NFC East.

As for the NFCE I don't really think they're that far ahead of the AFC West or even the AFC East. Neither Washington nor Dallas looks very good at all this year, while Philadelphia could easily go south quickly. The AFC South and NFC South are one-team divisions at the bottom.

NFC east without hesitation. I wouldn't want to be in there..

Give me a break!

The Buffalo Bills are the most overrated and overhyped team in the NFL. Mark Sanchez is the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. The NY Jets just plain SUCK! At least the Miami Dolphins are willing to play hard unlike the Bungalow Bills and the New York Jesters.

You cant say a division is the strongest in the NFL if the Browns are in it.

Patriots: better than the Giants

Eagles: better than the Dolphins

Cowboys: slightly better than the Jets

Redskins: about the same as the Bills

Overall the NFC East is slightly better - but it's not nearly as dramatic a difference as some are making it out to be, in my opinion. The Cowboys offense is awful, and the Redskins defense is terrible; sounds just like a couple of AFC East teams, doesn't it?

The Jets offense is awful but so is the Jets defense. The Cowboys defense is not awful.

As I said I think the NFC East is better; I just don't think the delta is as great as many make it out to be. To me the NFCE is the most overhyped division year in and year out; that's probably due in part to the large markets of the teams in that division, and Fox hyping those teams in the games they broadcast to reach as many as possible in those big markets. I think the Eagles are overrated and the Dolphins are underrated, for example.

You have your opinion and I have mine; as the OP said it will be interesting to revisit at the end of the season.

NFCW. NFCE is the most competitive within its own division, but 3 of the teams aren't very good.

I think the NFC North has 4 teams that could legitimately make the playoffs, assuming Detroit gets their head out of their azz. I don't think that more the one out of Arizona, St.L and Seattle are a legit playoff team. It's really only Seattle for me. Arizona and St.L are going to tank the second half IMO.

Damn!

You can practically predict the AFC Playoffs Teams after five weeks:

AFC East - Patriots

AFC North - Ravens

AFC South - Texans

AFC West - Chargers/Broncos

AFC Wildcard Teams - Chargers/Broncos/Bengals/Steelers (two of four)

I don't think Cincy or Pitt is a shoe in. There are a few contenders for that second WC.
