I'm going to predict that Slaussen doesn't get any type of fine or suspension for the blatant attempt to injure Brian Cushing Monday night. He wasn't blocked into him, he directed his hit at the back of Cushing's knees.

Texans fear he tore is ACL and is done for the year.

yes, that was definitely a cheap shot

that dude should be suspended for as long as cushing is out

#56's don't have a good history with cheap ass olinemen

Wow, is there a wider shot of that? It looks very deliberate from that angle but I can't see if anyone knocked Slaussen into Cushing from that shot. What a scumbag move if deliberate.

I don't know guys, I hate the Jets as much as the next guy, but if you watch it over and over, it looks like he was going for Cushing's hip, and he slides down when Cushing falls (and Slaussen is falling too). I don't know his history (if he's known as dirty), but that does look like a crack back block and should have been flagged for a penalty.

I don't know what rose colored glassed you are looking through, but at no point does it look like he's going for Cushings hip.

He BLATANTLY goes after his knee. Pretty dirty if you ask me. There are already enough injuries with legit hits, accidents, and in practice.... the game doesn't need to be losing players to unnecessary hits like this.

Agreed. The only question is whether or not he was pushed.

Slausen isn't exactly a punter or a QB, there was no need to take out his legs like that from behind.

Lol MrNathan, how could I have rose colored glasses, if I'm a Pats fan and hate the Jets, that comment makes no sense lol. That being said, I call em as I see em. Ive seen tackles made right at the knees that look way more deliberate and noboby says ****. I watched it 100 times, and first contact is with the hip and he slides down, or maybe my CLEAR glasses need to be checked.

first contact is not at the hip at all lol , what are you looking at??

I don't think he was. I watched the game last night and the first thing that went through my mind was "dirty hit". They showed a few replays and Slaussen just takes his knee out.

They weren't even that close to the play. He wasn't blocked into the knee.

It was unnecessary.

Slaussen has never been known as a dirty player, to my knowledge. I wonder if Cushing did something to him earlier in the game and this was retaliation because that hit is absolutely filthy. There was definite intent to injure there.

what Cushing did was play one man wrecking ball on the Jet offense...that cut call came from the sideline

Knowing that it's the Jets, it's possible and probable. But Cushing laid a couple of cheap shots out at USC that I can remember. Most of the time when something like this happens, it's retaliation for something that happened earlier in the game.

It LOOKS very suspicious.

Usually you can tell by the reactions of the opponent whether the play was dirty or not, though, and for whatever reason the Texans are not acting like somebody just took out one of the best players on purpose.

Thus I am not so sure.

everyone's eyes are on the play, including the refs...Slauson pulls the chop block with the benefit of no one with a sight line on the field seeing it...again, think what you want but this is the team that COACHED their players on the sideline to stick out their legs and trip opposing players on the filed of play as they ran by.
