I have to disagree. The ultimate gauge of how good a QB is not by the # of superbowl appearances or wins. Remember, every Patriots superbowl team had a very good, if not great defense.
You can insert Peyton Manning into a completely different team, and they will still have a potent passing attack (as you're seeing in Denver). I'm not quite sure you can say the same thing about Brady.
This Board has a long tradition of welcoming intelligent Opposition Posters who don't get in people's faces until they've convinced folks here that they know what they're talking about and can advocate for their team in a useful, polite and compelling manner.
Rehashing a tired argument that is now only voiced by underachieving players and coaches of other teams...and of course, their jealous fans...is going to get you exactly nowhere here. I don't think you'll find anyone taking your comments seriously enough to refute them (other than to point out obvious facts like the Pats had the 31st ranked Defense last year when Brady somehow lucked his way into his...um...fifth Super Bowl).
So as a fan of a team that has been around for 36 seasons (just 16 fewer than the Pats), has an overall record of 277--306 and has managed to make it to just one Super Bowl, you're going to have to take a different tone if you expect people not to view you as just one more green-with-envy fan from another team, who is out here to spout off before the Pats come to town; believe me, we get dozens of them every year despite Ian's best efforts to keep them out.
Why don't you start out by telling us some positive things about your team, other than that it's owned by a guy with deep pockets, plays in a nice stadium in a great city and has a respectable HC?
So, if you want to keep Ian's finger off his "Banned" button, I suggest that you state the case FOR your team and keep the negative stuff to yourself until you've convinced some of us that you know what you're talking about and are someone with whom it is worth debating. Until then, you're just one more troll.
