Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

Faulk will announce retirement at 1030am tomorrow morning and then make an appearance on the Gresh and Zo show.

Hoping he can find some work in the football world. He was a favorite of mine for a long long time. Thanks for the memories Kevin!

Congrats on a great career, hopefully he can be given a proper send off at Gillette at some point this season.

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

Just watch the games in the 2007 playoffs, he was instrumental in moving the chains. Third and 5? no problem, K.Faulk will get 5 1/2.

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

In baseball Vlad Guerrero is commonly referred to as a great "bad ball" hitter meeting he still hits for average and power on pitches outsdie the strike zone.

Well, in football I would say Kevin Faulk is a great 'bad throw" receiver. He'll routinely snare passes that are headed for the ground or appear to be thrown too high.

K Faulk :youtheman:

Thanks for the memories and cant wait for K Faulk day and your induction into Patriot Hall of Fame.

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

Labeled a Bobby Grier bust 3 years into his career, he became one of the best Patriots of all-time.

Proof positive that you need to give players a little time.

I'd like to see this offense, as great as it is, throw some flares to Ridley, Woodhead and Vereen, ala Kevin Faulk in the old days.

Brady rarely checks to his flanks.

I remember Faulk being heavily criticized early on for putting the ball on the ground (6 fumbles in 2000) and being seen as unreliable. He grew up quickly and evolved into the most reliable RB in the Brady era.

Direct snap to K Faulk :rocker:

Kevin Faulk for RB coach!!!

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

Thanks for the memories, Mr. Faulk. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

Thanks for all the great memories!

I hope that the Patriots organization can find some useful spot for him, as his experiences and knowledge of the system seems to me to be an invaluable tool for helping the young'ns.

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

thank you for everything kevin.

A cert for the patriots hall of fame.

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

Awesome player.

A lot of how he improved over his career involved playing with more functional strength -- ball security, blocks, finishing first downs, etc.

In his case I interpret that as showing tons of heart.

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

Maximized his strengths, minimized his weaknesses. A great example for the "instant coffee" crowd, it's not about flashy rookie talent.

Re: Kevin Faulk to officially announce Retirement

Wonderful Player,An Asset to this offense for more than a decade and he is already missed.

I hope Kraft recognizes Kevin for all he has accomplished here and has a 'Kevin Faulk Tribute Day' sometime in the 2013 season like they did with Troy a few weeks ago.
