The division always comes first. I want the jets to lose.

No, we don't want them to simply lose. We want them OBLITERATED, EVISCERATED, FUMIGATED and BURIED. :rocker:

I'd like the Jets to win this one. The Texans only have (4) difficult teams remaining on their schedule GB, Balt, Chicago and NE and the rest is a cakewalk. We still play the Jets twice so we can put them away by our-self, no need for another team to help us out with them. The #1 seed is the regular season goal, divisional titles and wildcard spots are for teams not led by Tom Brady who has played 10 full seasons making 5 Superbowl appearances putting him at a 50% chance at making the Superbowl in any given year.

This game will officially signal the start of Tebow Time! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Only time will tell which truly benefits us, but right now I don't view the Jets as a threat whatsoever. I think they'll be lucky to duplicate last year's record which was not close to us. In what I think is the best interest of our team's success this season I'm going to be *gulp* rooting for the Jets tonight  Houston is 2 games ahead of us and play in a weak division, the AFC division they face is ours which aside from us is not strong. They get Baltimore at home so what could have been a very tough matchup may not be as difficult as Baltimore has proven they are not the same team on the road. I'm very concerned about Houston right now. The Jets are terrible.

But like Andy pointed out, there's almost zero chance they actually win so it's pretty much a moot point.

Tom Cruise (minority report) just predicted a Jets murder.

While it is a win/win scenario, I see a lot more "win" if the Jets get waxed like a model's legs:

1.) Jets embarrassed on national TV
2.) Jets morale his new low as they head into Colts game
3.) Patriots take sole possession of first place

Next week, the Bills play the Cardinals, the Dolphins play the Rams and the Jets play the Colts. That's 3 games the AFCE team could easily lose. If the Patriots beat the Seahawks, that could lead to a two game lead.

The following week, the Jets play the Patriots, the Dolphins have a bye and the Bills face the Titans. It's conceivable that the Patriots could be 3 up after week 7, with plenty of cushion in case of another bad game.

Go Texans!

Are we really worried about the jets winning the division tho? I think a jets win help a lot more as obnoxious as it would be. Playing in houston in the playoffs would suck I think I'm rooting for gang green tonight ugh

I want a Houston Loss, and I do not want to Jets to be picking early in the draft.

I like you Tune, but you have the same issue that Joker has IMO.

You are too conciliatory towards the Rats.

:singing:

Yeah, I will be rooting for the Jets to be embarrassed on National TV.

But I don't really want them to implode and get a top 10 pick - a 6-10, 7-9 record would be perfect. They'll blame injuries for all their woes, so they'll keep Rex, keep Sancheeze as QB, and they won't have a good enough draft position to really make a difference next year either.

I do not want to Jets to be picking early in the draft.

No worries, mon...

They will find the rough in the diamonds.

They will identify the next Vernon Gholston.

It is just what they do.

I want the Jets to win this one. They have no shot at challenging for the division anyway, whereas the Pats, Ravens and Texans will likely end up fighting for HFA and a bye.

For the record, every time I've found myself forced to tepidly "root" for the Jets, they've been absolutely murdered, so prepare for a shellacking.

:wha:... rooting for the Jets ?!?! Are u xxxing kidding me ?! There are so very few things in this world that make me happier than a Jets loss ... F@ck'em

Whoever wins tonight, it's gonna be a treat to watch. I sure like the idea of the jets being shutout for a 2nd week in a row and on national tv though!

Well they did manage to pass up Chandler Jones for the "name" player in Quintin Coples......

As you said, it IS what they do.

That's another good point. Every bit counts.

I'm just not worried whatsoever about the Jets. Before last year I'd have been more cautious about counting them out, but right now I honestly see the Dolphins as a bigger threat. Especially with Holmes and Revis out, their season is just begging to be a disaster.

It has been a real treat this year to read the rat boards as reality sets in.

Many have even discovered this new concept, I believe it is called self-awareness, where they are realizing that the reason why they have lagged behind the Pats for so long is that the Pats are smart, meticulous, and well-run, while the Rats suck at team ownership, coaching, and player evaluation.

Exactly. If it comes down to a tiebreaker situation with Houston, we have the opportunity to play them head to head, and win. But, the division comes first.
