How much does it suck to be a Bills fan right now?

Bills got blown out again, 45-3 by the 9ers. And they gave up over 620 total yards of offense! SF runs for 300 and passes for 300 on them! Crazy! And their 100 million dollar man? Wearing some new type of stabilizer brace. :p Yeah, the Bills are awful and their fans must feel so bad after all the preseason hype and acquisitions that had given them false hope.

"I have no answers and no excuses," beleaguered Bills coach Chan Gailey said. "I don't have the answers and I have to find the answers. That's my job."

The Bills have fallen apart and the fans know it. Yeah talk about frustration.

"Well glad to see our beloved Bills have lived to one expectation. Unfortunately that expectation is being the laughing stock of the NFL. i was hoping with a revamped defense and some continuity on offense combined with our schedule would at least end the embarassment of our current playoff drought."

On the upside, the Jets board is probably going to be just as miserable once the Texans blow them out on Monday Night Football. Embarrassment on the national scale! Can't wait!

That's fandom. It's inevitable that you will eventually have periods where you team is among the dregs - for Bills fans, it has been a bit extended lately, but it doesn't help when one of the teams in the division has the GOAT at QB and close to it at HC.

When hasn't it sucked to be a Bills fan? Even when they were good they lost 4 Super Bowls in a row! Losing 2 in a few years apart is bad enough to go through.

Almost as much, hopefully, as it will be to be a JEST fan tonight. :D

You should have heard the pregame last week as I tailgated outside the game this is our time, once we win this we prove we belong and on and on. Those visions of grandeur have been squashed, stomped, run over and they are now back to being "the Bills".

Poor bastards. I had friends finally buy back into season tickets (stopped shortly after the kgun days) with hopes the defense was better and they might compete. They spent alot of money for just a disastorus result.

Living an hour from Buf its quite entertaining reading the local media.

If the Internet as we know it existed in 1990, this would probably be a thread on a Bills forum about the Patriots. What a difference a decade or two can make, eh?

What do you mean right now? I think it has sucked for a while!

No playoffs since '99!
Four consecutive Suberbowl losses
Not won the division since '95
After starting 5-2 last season, they finished 6-10!
65-95 over the last 10 seasons! With ONE season over .500 (and one at .500)

I would say they are some reasons why it has sucked to be a Bills fan!

But wait; if you are a Bills don't be too down! You aren't a Jets fan :D

This division is a mess other than the Pats. I strongly believe now that the Dolphins will be in second place when this season ends with the Jets and Bills fighting it out for last. Both teams are soft and falling apart right now.

The Dolphins are looking surprisingly capable. Tannehill has progressed a lot faster than I expected, given that he has nobody to throw to (I'm not sold on Hartline yet), and their defense is still good.

I am loving the Jets collapse & would love to see them just get totally humiliated tonight.

The Dolphins can be argued as being the best team so far in the division. They lost 2 games they should have won, the Jets were lucky to have win that game, and they handed that win to the Cardinals two games ago. They play well on defense, their offense have been playing well also. They are a tough team to play against right now.

Wade Phillips, Gregg Williams, Mike Mularky, **** Jauron, Perry Fewell and Chan Gailey. You hire a list like that and you get what you deserve. Don't even get me into hiring Wannstadt as DC. Until they go out and find somebody with some actual vision on building a franchise they will always be second rate no matter how much talent they try to buy.

I saw some guy wearing a Bills jacket yesterday and I actually felt a little bad for him.

Then I remembered he's a Bills fan and started giggling.

In the past 6 quarters the Bills have been out scored 90-10 :eek::eek::eek:

No, not really. The Patriots lost on last second field goals (a disputed make and a miss) to two 4-1 teams. The Dolphins, OTOH, lost to the Jets even after the Jets lost Revis.

If the real officials were there weeks 2 and 3 the Pats would be 5-0.

I suppose that's become conventional wisdom, but the "real" officials called a hold at the end of the Chargers game last night that was a lot more phantom than the actual hold Gronk committed against the Cards.

And there were bad calls/non-calls both ways in the Ravens game. I don't think anyone can guess what the final score would have been with real refs.

The Ravens had 2 TD drives extended by phantom calls, one of which should have given the Pats the ball with a huge lead before the Ravens even got a first down. Let's not go over this again.

Honestly even though they lost those super bowls they had a fantastic run. Would most fans have traded all of those years for a single SB win? Sure, but the K-Gun and their talent was amazing for that run.

It's the curse of Doug Flutie. If I recall correctly the Bills haven't been to the playoffs since he was their quarterback.

I didn't buy into the hype that Bills fans were selling, but I never imagined that their defense would be remotely close to being as bad as it is, or that the team would regress and get worse rather than at least slightly improve.
