Week 5 NFL Games
By: John Morgan

When in doubt, pick the underdog. There have already been 23 upsets (i.e., the team favored to win lost) in the NFL thus far. In week three the underdogs went 10-6 straight up, and dogs have won a minimum of five games each week so far this season....

Starting players are more and more being kept on the sidelines during pre-season games... which means the first three games are their pre-season, thus causing some unpredictable play. (add in that weaker teams tend to play their starters more in pre-season)

then of course there's the old saw of Parity in the NFL

yeah..i really didn't pick any underdogs today...oops

look at the giants stadium..no one is there becasue of the rain..empty

F the defending chumps, go Cleveland!

Early Games

4-0 Atlanta Falcons at 2-2 Washington Redskins
Falcons favored by 3

3-1 Philadelphia Eagles at 1-2 Pittsburgh Steelers
Steelers favored by 4

2-2 Green Bay Packers at 1-2 Indianapolis Colts
Packers favored by 6½

0-4 Cleveland Browns at 2-2 New York Giants
Giants favored by 8

1-3 Miami Dolphins at 3-1 Cincinnati Bengals
Dolphins favored by 3

3-1 Baltimore Ravens at 1-3 Kansas City Chiefs
Ravens favored by 6

I'm hoping Cleveland can beat the Giants. That's one team that I don't want anywhere near the playoffs. If the Pats are able to get back to THE GAME, I don't want to see the Giants.

Browns up 14-0

And just like that it is 14-0

Wow...14-0 Browns not even 5 minutes into the game, me think I might be liking my decision to take them on my Pro-Line ticket today.

Browns beating the Giants 14-0

The Giant's back seven is not very good right now, due in part to injuries. Of course in order to take advantage of that you need to get your pass off before their pass rush gets to the QB - not an easy task.

Just coming in from a few hours of fall brush clearing. :Love that cool fall air. I see Cleveland is up on the Gints. Be quite an upset if that lasts. Pitt and Phil looks like a good game, but somehow I feel like I'd rather have Packers-Colts. Oh well .. Red Zone til Pats game.

Last 3 times the Browns have played the SB winner they have won

LOL -- Eagles (Vick; end zone)) and Fins both fumble in the end zone at the same time on Red ZOne channel. And Chiefs fumble vs Ravens.

packers colts = zzzzzz

vick sucks

Dolphins turn the ball over on a fumble for the second time in the first nine minutes against Cincy.

No clue why the first play at first and goal is not a handoff to McCoy

(Unless he was hurt)

Its amazing the Eagles are 3-1 with Vick, they should give Foles a shot.
