Jay Cutler is an ***

And the fact that he is a major douche is pathetic.

Sorry, I would admire the guy if he was the least bit of a good human being, but by all accounts he is a selfish, pompous arse who treat people like dirt.

Honestly, I never hear those accounts. Have you heard that from his teammates, or people who played with him?

I think it's just a myth built up by fans around the NFL just not liking the guy.

Look like Cutler was just blowing off Tice. Here is the video of it with him and Tice with them walking to the bench and it is anything but heated.

Bears QB Jay Cutler blows off coach Mike Tice - NFL Videos

Not really much more context there then the original GIF.

Although you can clearly see Tice says something that seems to upset Cutler as after Tice says something you see Cutler slump into his seat and then when Tice follows him and sits Cutler runs off. Again it doesnt look good but in the heat of the moment I think this is a huge non-issue.

And for the record I am not some Cutler defender I think the guy has proven in the past to be an jerk but I usually like to criticize people for things that actually deserve criticism.

Could this be evidence of a rift sure but if this was just one quick moment and Tice and Cutler work fine together then this is just one overblown non-story.

Having diabetes doesn't excuse this kind of crap. Matt Light had Crohn's disease but you didn't see him giving Scar the walk-off treatment.

And we didn't even know Light had Crohn's disease until he retired. He never used that as a PR tool or an excuse. For the first few years after Cutler was diagnosed with diabetes, he used it as marketing campaign.

Really?!? I think it is a fact that his defenders try to spin into a myth. There are plenty of stories out there of him dumping on fans and teammates.

Publicly, his teammates say they like and respect him, but you wouldn't expect otherwise. I guarantee you that a lot or most of his teammates hate him.

One thing I will say is that there are a lot of douches in the NFL that people can't stand as much or more than Cutler. The difference is that they know how to conduct themselves on the sidelines.

Cutler Refuses To Take Responsibility

Jay Cutler has refused to take personal responsibility for his poor play this season. Even if you are not the one to blame, a good leader will take responsibility for his performance. It shows that you are willing to work harder to make yourself and the team better. Taking the blame also takes the pressure off of others on the team. When you know that your leader has your back, you want to work harder to make him look good. Nobody right now wants to make Cutler look good.

Is Jay Cutler Creating A Rift In The Locker Room? | The Sports Menu

And who wants to follow Jay Cutler? Who wants to dig down deep -- not just in games, but in practice when the game is won or lost -- when the guy asking them to dig is so detestable? There's a fine line between a good team and a great one in the NFL, and as a leader, Cutler is on the wrong side of it.

This is bigger than the incident with left tackle J'Marcus Webb, who Cutler shoved last Thursday during the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Packers. It was a bad game for J'Marcus Webb, but that was bad leadership by Jay Cutler. Hell, that wasn't leadership at all. That was petulance and self-absorption.

The Webb incident opened a window into the leadership of Jay Cutler, and the view was ugly. Bears cornerback D.J. Moore verbally eviscerated Cutler for his behavior, noting that on a day when Cutler was statistically awful -- 11 for 27 for 126 yards, four interceptions and a 28.2 passer rating -- the Bears quarterback made a scapegoat of an offensive lineman.

"I just think it's wrong, honestly," Moore said. "I would feel some kind of way if he were to do me like that and make it seem like 'Well, the reason that I'm having a bad game is because what you're doing' and not me taking accountability for myself because I'm throwing these types of passes or doing this type of read."

Then Moore turned the knife.

"I think it's just him," he said of Cutler. "It's the type of guy he is."

Cutler doesn't lack for talent, but until he changes his attitude, he'll never be a winner - NFL - CBSSports.com

He got knocked around by Green Bay on Thursday and was caught berating a teammate for allowing him to get nailed.

Cutler was sacked seven times and was recorded bumping left tackle J’Marcus Webb and telling him get your f---ing head into the game.”

Cutler refused to back down or be shamed for the incident afterwards.

“I care about this,” Cutler said.

“This isn’t just a hobby for me. If we’re not doing things the right way, I’m going to say something. If they want a quarterback that doesn’t care then they better get someone else.’’

Cutler is a prickly personality who doesn’t do himself any favours.

And these are all from this year. Honestly this is the tip of the iceberg. I remember when his whole team got mad at him because he refused to play through an injury. It turned out to be an MCL tear but his team and fans disliked him so much they refused to believe he was injured.

If it was an isolated issue, I would agree with it being a non-issue. But with Cutler's resume, it is just another in a long line of examples of him being a jerk.

That certainly doesnt look good. And yes a screaming match at leasts shows both have passion but I think without any context it is hard to really know what is going on.

For all we know they just had their screaming match and now Cutler just wants to cool down. Or better yet what actually happened on the field prior to this. Again it certainly looks disrespectful but no idea what really went down.

Look at the gif again. At the beginning, he also blows off his backup's (Campbell) handshake.

He's a petulant child.

Cutler may not be everyone's favorite QB,but the fact that he plays this tough game with moderate Diabetes which requires daily insulin injections is astonishing.

Hitler had only one testicle.

here's some context.

the quarterback had to burn a second first-half timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty. The clip shows a frustrated Cutler sitting down on the bench as Tice tries to talk to him. Once Cutler sits, Tice tries to sidle up next to him to continue his one-sided conversation. Without any acknowledgment of his coach's presence, Cutler immediately got off the bench and walked away to grab a chill Gatorade from the nearest brah while Tice yelled out in vain to stop him.

Thanks for the link on the Elway quote, but this article was pretty thin stuff - shoddy journalism at its worst. You can tell that the writer had an agenda, but the best he could find was the big "texting" incident. The actual quotes he got from players were supportive of Cutler for the most part, which is consistent with what I've heard from guys like Urlacher, as well.

Let's not kid here. The journalism is fine. The one with the agenda is you. You asked for something. I supplied it. You chose to attack the journalism of the piece rather than deal with the incidents.

Here are a couple more for you to dismiss:

But see that is kind of my point just because the guy is a jerk doesnt mean that this cant be some harmless sideline moment which IMO it appears to be. No one is going to come out and truly say what happened there and it appears to be such a blip on the radar that it really should be ignored rather then blown up but so goes the landscape of the times we live in.

If I saw Brady pull a stunt like this, it'd make me think a lot less of him.

It's one thing to get into a vocal confrontation -- I think that's normal and pretty much expected from die-hard competitors.

Cutler just seems like a meathead with an acute case of dumb face.

Thanks for putting into words, what I've thought for years.

Is it the worst thing that he has ever done? Nope. Is it a huge deal? Probably not. Is it yet another example of him being a spoiled child? Yes.

Again, if this was an isolated incident, it would be no big deal. As a body of work it is just another example of Culter being a self-important jerk.

You can tell a lot by observing body language and facial expressions, to say Cutler looks like a douche bag, that could care less but is possibly a great guy is a bit far fetched IMO.

him and Rivers still hate each other? lol. From what I've observed Cutturd seems like a dbag.

It's pretty obvious Cutler has challenges controlling his temper.

But given that he does, walking away from a discussion can be a good move, not a bad one.

It certainly didn't look like he and Tice just had a screaming match. It looked like Tice was trying to sit down and show him the film as well as go over some in-game adjustments that it appeared the Bears were going to make. Cutler was just being an ass.

Cutler has always been like that First Round talent...Seventh Round Character. Him and Brandon Marshall belongs together, he pulled that same stunt in Dennver i think that's why Mike Shanahan left. Cutler and Marshall alone make T.O. look like a saint pretty scarry.
