2 100 yard receivers. 2 100+ running backs. A defense that made the bills #1 running game look like pop warner. 4 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries. 52 points.

Perhaps if we weren't screwed by the refs last week people would take the 28 points with a grain of salt. They survived their own mistakes and beat their opponent into submission on the road. Lots of teams would of crumpled under that onslought.

The overreaction to this win is what's hilarious.

Pats fans tend to be a fickle bunch. Like a mercurial love affair. I'm guilty, try to tone it down in my head. Don't get too high with wins, too low with losses. Unless it's playoffs, and *especially* if it is a SB.

OTOH that is advice for players, and fans probably have more trouble following it than the players and coaches do!

As Deirdork & Gumble pointed out during the broadcast, we are 3 lousy points (and some rotten calls - okay, that part is from me) from being 4-0. The D still needs to improve, but I was greatly relieved to see the O finally really clicking.

Here's some whining/controversy for ya - do we really need Julian Edelman back? Does trying to get him involved break up the chemistry too much? Flame away!!

Well I have a gripe. My daughter’s school chum scheduled a party on Sunday and I wound up drawing the short straw and was the attending parent. So, instead of watching the game I took my 6 year old daughter to a birthday party at Chunky’s, where I was subjected to a bad Adam Sandler vampire cartoon.

I had my cell and planned to at least get updates, and of course my charger was not all the way plugged in the night before and I had only a few lines of battery left. My phone died right after the Bills went up 21 – 7. So thanks to the Pats and their uneven score distribution they ruined my viewing of a crappy Adam Sandler cartoon.

To make matters worse I think my daughter enjoyed the movie…She might not be ivy league material after all; looks like University of Illinois!

It was an historic win on two counts - the aforementioned two 100-yard runners and two 100-yard receivers in a single game, and the Patriots are on a seven possession streak with points scored.

I imagine somebody can figure this one out, but what is the record for consecutive possessions with putting points on the board. It picks up with the first possession against the Broncos.

Go to "Chunky's" every week during the Patriots' game with a dead cell phone. They were on a two-game losing streak with you in front of a TV.

IIRC the Patriots had nine in one game against the Titans in 2009.
