So, did Brandon Bolden make an impression on anyone else during Training Camp?

I say this because I went to the Patriots In-Stadium Training Camp practice this August. One of the biggest impressions made, in my opinion, was the performance of Brandon Bolden. He just looked so fast getting to the outside in drills. That was my biggest impression. I was on this guy's bandwagon from then on....

I'm not trying to act like I predicted his success (for one week!) or anything. I didn't. But I am, well, relieved to see that he is a capable NFL player. Or better yet, I'm relieved to see that my own little impression didn't lie...at least in this instance. I knew that he looked good in practice; but the fact that he was a UDFA made me pause, at that time, and think that he must be a low priority, so to speak.

Just glad to see that a first impression can, indeed, end up making a lot of sense....

He made an impression on me during the Saints practice

I must have been sleeping when I went and didn't notice him but I was a big bandwagoneer during the pre-season games.

BJGE Release 2.0 is an upgrade from the original. Runs faster.

I had him making the roster. Ill admit I never saw him having a game like he had today.hoping he can make this a string of success.

I've long been unsure of him, but I've changed my tune.

I noticed him working out with the first string and thought that was unusual, and put an asterisk next to his name as someone to look out for, but certainly did not expect him to have the output he did today.

Yes, Ivan Fears.

I liked how he looked in the preseason. I didn't know if he would make the team, but I think he made an overall good impression, especially early on.

I went to about 9 or 10 practices this year and what I'm seeing from Bolden is no different than what I saw in camp. According to my notes, what I had on Bolden in camp was...
-Shows great burst on outside runs
-Very decisive in his actions (anti-Laurence Maroney)
-For whatever reason appears to be faster than Vereen
-Struggling big time as blocker on punt returns
-Solid pass catcher and route runner
-Hits the hole hard

Basically what we are seeing from him, nice to see a guy having his game translate to the playing field. But also consider the Bills were opening the floodgates for him and Ridley.

I hope Bolden can do what Victor Cruz did for the Giants last year.

The one training camp practice I went to my son and I both noticed him--it was right after he fumbled the ball and had to take a punishment lap---OOPS

Bill Belichick

He made an impression on me today. I was pitching a tent watching him explode for huge gains off the edge.

I remember that practice. Maybe the 3rd or 4th one of camp? They have all mushed together for me. But anyway, besides that mishap, he had a great day of practice.

We might see a little more of him as a receiver coming out of the backfield. They should toss a couple to him and if they work well, it will give opposing defenses something more to think about when watching game film.

I read 3-4 camp observation articles every day, and it seemed that Bolden was far too eager to bounce runs outside, but that didn't seem to be a problem today.

he was good today but lets not forget about Stevan Ridley who is 9th in the NFL in rushing yards and is only about 90 yards away from the leader and is also 2th in the NFL in rushing TD's

Not training camp, but i posted a video highlight against SEC competition to the tune of "Let the bodies hit the floor." :)

Unlike other positions, a RB is a RB if they can play physical, which is the key in the NFL IMO. I kind of predicted he would be in a rotation as our short yardage back.

Love how he dragged that a hole cornerback that was getting away with pass interference against LLoyd all night, five yards into the endzone.

Didn't really drag him, he more or less set him up and tackling sledded him.

I call binky on this one.

I knew he'd make the team but anyone on this board outside of Mississippi could not have predicted a performance like the one yesterday. He played out of his mind. I'd like to see it more consistently as his playing time should increase. There is only one person in Patriotland across the world is upset upset with Bolden's performance and his name is Vereen.

EDIT: To those who may feel the need to overreact to the final sentence of this post, I say to you that it's said in jest. I in no way, shape or form know what the kid is thinking/feeling. I in no way, shape or form have any inside information about the organization and everything therein. In fact, I've only even been to Massachusetts once for two days.
