Here are the combined stats for Hightower, Jones, and Wilson through 4 games:

(45) tackles (7) Tackles for loss (4) Sacks (2) Forced Fumbles

(2) Fumble Recoveries (1) Return for TD (3) Passes Defended

(2) Interceptions

Pretty impressive if you ask me :)

Jones has had some quiet games but he has played alot of snaps as a rookie and jeez he looks disciplined strong and good.

Hightower i am just very impressed with. That sack today he just throws Spiller then goes and gets the QB. He just seems to be a footballer just an out and out baller. I have said it before that i didn't see him coming pre draft as i was focusing on other areas but jeez i feel like a dope for missing that talent (said 31 teams about brady).

Wilson i think has really proved alot of his doubters wrong, Fumble recoveries, int's and solid tackling have been what we have seen so far. Very solid for the 2nd rounder who lets face it has been on the field and Ras-I hasn't.

LOL........he's doing well, but if you could have had him later, why use the earlier pick? I'm sure I will hear now how somebodies cat told them that someone was going to pick him a few picks later.

I'm just glad he's here.

Just curious but why do you think you could have had him later? Because Kiper said so?

But... But... i knew the detailed draft board of every team... Mel Kiper and i had him as a 7th round pick.

Poor pick from the pats he definitely could have been had in the 4th and with our strong secondary we should have definitely taken that chance.

Wilson was a great pick. He is a play maker at free safety with a knack for finding the ball. He has intercepted or recovered a fumble in 3 of the 4 games. He is a sure tackler as well.

He is going to be taking more and more snaps from Gregory.

Hightower didn't return today what is his deal?

LOL translation; "I was dead wrong, but I'm about to try and get out of it anyway."

It's okay to admit you're wrong.

None of us know where other teams had him, so it's a worthless comment. Instead, try asking yourself if you'd use a second round pick on a guy who plays as good as Wilson. If the answer is yes, he wasn't a reach, despite what Kiper tells you.

injured his hamstring. apparently hes okay...just probably wasnt solid enough to play that game. i was actually expecting them to move ninko into the lb corps and play cunningham more at de...but they put in white instead. surprising...

dont' forget about a hundred yards on the ground and a TD from today's game. two offensive TDs in total to go along with a defensive TD.

Jones leads all rookies in sacks and FF. Wilson leads all rookies in interceptions. I'll take it.

(NFL.com is really crappy about updating stats, so correct me if these are wrong.)

A rookie thread with almost no mention of Bolden? He had a great game.

Wilson appeared to be a big reach based on the available information. People including myself complained for a day or two but I don't think much was said afterward. It's six months later, at some point in time it would be nice if his name could be mentioned without the excessive gloating as if you yourself are responsible for the pick. Only a selective memory allows you to sit in judgement of others. The team obviously has many more resources than the general public and do their own evaluations but they have also made their fair share of questionable 2nd round picks. People reacted to an unknown being drafted with a high pick. Nobody said I saw him, he can't play and he's a waste of a 2nd round pick.

Wilson has looked OK, he's looked pretty good out there, hopefully he'll earn more playing time at the expense of Gregory and Chung.

If you can get three quality starters out of a draft you're doing very good. Jones and Hightower alone and it's a great rookie class. If you can get a starting safety in Wilson all the better. Gotta like what Bolden did. Looking forward to Dennard getting healthy and you still have Bequette, Ebner, Francis and Forsten. This has the potential to be one of their better draft classes.

whats so impressive and surprising Jones' play has been how well he's done in the running game. I think we all felt that he could be of some impact in the pass rush, but most of us felt that it would take some time before he matured enough into a strong run stopper, yet he's been ou tstanding in against the run.

Hightower has almot been as good, and Wilson has been very steady as he gains experience in his rotation role. Then when you add the rookie FA Boldin and I think we've already hit the motherload with 4 guys starting or getting regular roles

They are forming a young nucleus that should be the foundation for this team for years to come. I hope they all continue trending upward as the season progresses. If that happens, then we definitely have something special in NE for a while to come.

Once again waaaayyyyy to early. But it will be interesting to see if this draft class could be up there with the 2010 class.

If Hightower, Jones, Wilson and Bolden all continue to develop it has a chance to be.

Be very careful. If my experience recently means anything, then you could be in for a world of hurt on the board from some who may view this statement as a slight or denigration of these players, especially Jones. He is already a first ballot HOFer to some and there is zero improvement needed to others.

I've spent the better part of all morning trying to defend and explain posts that really didn't need explanation or defense. They, at least IMO, were benign and not at all disrespectful to the players or their supporters. Suggesting that any Patriot could improve on anything in any area in the young season is frowned upon by many. So, be very careful how you phrase these things, Jsull.

how much snaps did wilson got yesterday or in any other game this season? i know jones and hightower are starters and getting plenty. how about wilson?
