How did the injuries look when they happened? Short-term stuff?

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

I assume Hightower wouldn't have been chilling out there on the sidelines looking nonchalant if it were a serious injury.

If its a pulled hammy,it could still suck

Those things are a pain to heal

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

hammy is a couple of weeks if its a tweak.

hope its not a tear.

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

Gregory just had some scorch marks on him, he'll be back watching people run past him next week.

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

Hightower will probably be good next week.

I was unaware Gregory got hurt towards the end. Glad Wilson could step in though.

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

Silver lining: if Gregory's out for a week or two, that will be some valuable development time for Wilson. I'm already not sure that it's a downgrade, although it would be a hit to depth.

Hightower didn't look too bad, but who knows - hopefully he doesn't miss any time.

Hightower was reported as a hamstring. That should clear up in a week, it didn't look like a severe hamstring pull.
I didn't see Gregory's injury, but Wilson is looking good out there.
I am beginning to think Chung won't be back if he gets lucrative offers elsewhere.

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

I think Hightower is an essential ingredient for this weeks opponent.

hammy for hightower...those can nag for a while

Agreed on all points - I've never been a big Chung fan, though, so not really surprised by what's happening with him. He does some things well and some things poorly, and just isn't as good as his reputation. If someone wants to pay him as a better-than-league-average starter, then then the Pats should let them and use the money somewhere else. I hear Welker's looking for a raise.

I saw him in the fourth bouncing around, slapping Spikes on the shoulder. So I think it's a minor ding.

From what I've seen of Gregory, I wouldn't mind a replacement like Ebner, to see if improvement could be had.

The safeties didn't play well today. Makes me miss Rodney Harrison, who used to go up to contest balls. But he used to react a lot faster than the guys we have now, who seem to get there a step or two late in help.

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

I won't mind Gregory being out. Wilson is the best Safety on this team.

As for Hightower -- that sucks. That could mean Ninkovich moving to SS LB and Cunningham becoming LDE.

They would just start Tracy White before that happened.

Hamstring and missing a week of practice when you're a rookie in BBs defense playing LB = missing the next game.

how do you know this? what examples do you have to support this comment. Can't someone with a minor injury study film and the game plan, attend team meetings, etc. Considering BB has almost never started a rookie at LB, maybe Mayo was the first, can't remember is Spikes got starts,

Yup! And the player with the hammy is always brought back too soon (the opposite of the Red Sox). It is the stupid macho BS that players and coaches cannot seem to get past. So he will probably play next week and then at the end of the season we will learn that it never healed. I have seen this time and again.

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

Gregory left the game with a bruised ego.

re: Dont'a Hightower & Steve Gregory Injuries

Everything I've read suggests that Hightower will be fine. I didn't even realize that Gregory had gotten injured.
