Please post your comments, knee jerk reactions, and insightful observations both before and during today's Patriots vs Bills game, all on this thread.

This is an important division game today. Some have said it's a must win game for the Patriots. At this point of the season there are no must wins games, but this comes close to it.

My biggest concern is how the battered OL will be able to protect Brady. If the Patriots choose to run the ball more in tight, power formations they cannot afford to fall behind.

Lets hope for a good game today with no injuries.

For the offense it is critical to eliminate the big play. Buffalo has 4 interceptions, 4 forced fumbles and 9 sacks. Being minus Hernandez, Edelman and Mankins they might want to slow the pace down for once.

For the defense the front 7 has to play better than the Ravens game and have better gap discipline. If you shut the Bills running game down they're going to have issues in the passing game. They also have to shut down the screen game. No idea who's actually going to play or be effective for them at RB but with that O-Line Vince and Love need to step it up and Spikes, Mayo and Hightower need a much better game.

I can't quite pinpoint it, but there is something about waking up on NFL sunday mornings that just feels so good. Always puts a smile on my face, Lets Go Pats! Beat the Bills!:rocker:

The 2003 season redux starts today.

Gonna be offline most of the day because of work, but have made time to watch the game.

I think that the Bills are going to very sorry for showing up for this game. New England is coming in a bit battered and dragging, and anyone who hunts knows that a wounded animal is far more dangerous than any other.

Kurt Warner on the NFL Network:

"Tom Brady has played in more Super Bowls than games that the Pats have had a losing record. The Brady Bill: In Tom We Trust."

WEEI NFL Sunday should be the pre game radio show. Intelligent discussion and reasoned analysis vs. ear bleeds.

this is, at least in my opinion, a very crucial game very near to a must win game...going 1-3 would be tough and 0-1 in the division not good...

so: Go Pats !!!
win for us this game !!!

i will be able to see game live here in Italy, nice !

again...Go Pats !!!

I think being in a 1-2 hole means every game for the next month or 2 is going to be important to seeding.
A loss today, IMO, creates a seeding dilemma, but I wouldn't be worried at all about the division. It doesnt matter though, because they aren't losing today.

Posted this in the game day inactives thread but I'll repost it here.

Pats announce Deaderick, Dennard and Francis all downgraded to out.

Deaderick, Dennard, Francis, Mankins, Edelman and Hernandez all out for Patriots. Only need 1 more for full inactive list.

I don't see how anyone can expect the pats to win this game...

here comes 1-3 folks

16-0?

Some trivia, or perhaps trivial info:

  • Through three games Tom Brady, Nate Solder and Ryan Wendell are the only players to be on the field for every offensive snap for the Pats

  • The Pats have not lost three in a row since 2002. That's an NFL-best streak of 156 games. The next closest team has less than half that many games (Atlanta, 68).

  • Sign of red zone issues: Stephen Gostkoswki has 10 FG attempts this year, which is the 2nd most in the NFL; last year he had just 33 FG attempts for the entire season.

  • Sign of pass rush issues: the Pats have gone six consecutive quarters without a sack; the last one came in the 2nd quarter versus Arizona. The Pats rank 31st in the NFL in yards lost on sacks (8).

  • The Raiders now have two defensive linemen on their roster who wore #93 with the Pats (Richard Seymour, Andre Carter)

  • Stevan Ridley has 52 carries in three games; that's the most in the first three games by a Patriot since Laurence Maroney had 54 in 2007

  • Kellen Winslow was paid $48,529 for his time with the Patriots

  • That works out to $12,132.25 per snap

  • Winslow finishes his Pats career with the same number of receptions as Logan Mankins, Drew Bledsoe and Tom Brady: one

  • LB Mike Rivera was signed by the Dolphins

I don't think a more eloquent thing has ever been posted. This is literary genius right here.

Here was a post from your manic phase, which seems to have been stamped out by your depression,

You guys realize that when everyone doubts the patriots for a win, they usually come out and win like 45-7 right?

Well what do the Bills have that can beat the Pats? What's your proof that the Bills have what it takes to beat the Pats?

Last year they played bills and lost there they were without mankins as well and they got great pressure up front...expect the same

Well what do the Bills have that can beat the Pats?

Their D line vs our O line

There's nothing more I'd love than a gutsy 17-14 type last minute win today, as much fun as it is to watch this high flying aerial attack I really do miss those grueling games we had @ Houston, @ MIA, vs. Jets, vs. Cleveland (LAST MINUTE TY LAW PICK TO SEAL IT 9-3), @ Denver, etc that year. None of those teams were really that tough but you can't help but think those games built the character of the team that won back to back SB's.
