Logan Mankins Out For Week 4 Game At Buffalo ... Bills DL will wreak havoc

I'd expect to see more of Thomas at left guard than see Cannon on the field at all.

Oh crap !!!!!!!

Maybe. If Gronk plays then I suspect he'll line up next to Solder a good amount too. The kid is going to need some help with Williams now that Mankins is out.

Mario Williams is a LDE so Solder won't be seeing him much if at all.

This game won't be about our tackles against their DEs anyway. It's going to be about our Guards and Center against their DTs. With Mankins out you better believe the pressure is coming straight to Brady's face.

Thought Buffalo had him lining up at RDE. Thanks for the clarification. :)

I'm thinking that Wendell-Tennart-Connelly is a good possibility.

Or it could also be Wendell-McDonald-Connelly, depending upon whether or not McDonald is ready to come back yet.

This board is an echo chamber sometimes.

Certain ideas get spread like wildfire, especially when compared to other Patriots related websites.

Kind of like how about 95% percent of the board here suddenly decided that S.Moore was on his way out due to having a "horrible camp" (direct contradiction to what Bedard and others said repeatedly)...yet here he is as our #3 CB.

Searching other Pats related forums/sites at the end of TC led me to find that the idea that Moore would be cut was not exacxtly shared by the majority outside of here, but you'd have been hard pressed to find more than a handful who thought that Moore deserved at least a closer look.

Just one example that I could think of off the top of my head, although there have been plenty of others.

In Cannon's case, Belichick has said several times that he thinks that his "quick feet" will lead him to compete for an outside tackle spot, yet so many here have decided otherwise. I do think that he could play guard in a pinch of course, and it's always possible that Belichick will change his mind, but in the meantime Cannon is a backup/rotational tackle with Vollmer.

There is a silver lining to all of these injuries. They're all happening at the beginning of the season instead of the middle or the end of it.

Great point.

Not only that, but they seem to be the yearly injuries that may be able to be managed properly, so that our injured can still participate in the majority of games.

I don't mind Mankins sitting out for a week or so, especially if it means he'll be able to heal properly. It's a long season.

wow I wasn't feeling to good about this game but now worse Brady's gonna have no time tomorrow.

The stars are aligning for Kyle Williams to have a monster game.

obviously this would be be lot easier to stomach these injuries if we were 3-0. :(

the hernandez injury is going to be big since we had trouble in buffalo last year without him.

In that regard, it's not a whole lot different than when Mankins was playing.

Must be pretty bad if Mankins played with a torn ACL last year. Welker and Woody going to need to play BIG.

Lots of Ridley and Play Action. Ridley's going to have to have a big game. Brady's already been sacked seven times in three games. I'm not one of those who is certain he'll play longer than Favre (though I hope he does), but I sure want to see him play out his contract and win another ring.

true...but to come out 2 games behind buffalo in week 4....not good

I just hope they can somehow muster a block...or two..for brady :bricks:

Over or under 4 sacks tomorrow on brady? I will say 3
