I may be more nervous than the ravens game due to the fact that if we fall to 1-3...uh oh

The thing that has me nervous is Mankins sitting out practice today.

meh...let's wait til friday before we chuck the chick 'n little around the parking lot..

if he sits out tomorrow..he prob won't play...but if he practices..we should be good

I am not nervous due to the bills players or that we are playing there...but that they beat us last year there without williams/anderson and if they go to 3-1 and us 1-3..he have a early hole to dig out of..big hole

I know this team is good...but they aren't winning...

Not worried at all. The Pats should be good and p*ssed off after last week. If that doesnt fire them up to kill the Bills, then nothing will.

Pats 42-6

I wouldn't be shocked if we go 1-3 but I think we can squeak out a win especially that the real refs are gonna be back. Now we will hopefully only be playing against the Bills and not the refs too.

For some reason I'm just not worried. If the Patriots can't win any of these three games then they're probably not good enough to win the Super Bowl this year. I'm extremely confident that they'll take this one in Buffalo - they're two plays from 3-0 and they know it.

I am very nervous about the Bills game. We tend to play down to the competition...another facet of our propensity to not put teams away when we can and should. There is really not much about the Bills that scares me. I am not real confident about us at this point.

While Tom Terrific never seems to lose his competitive edge, once the team gets up on weaker teams his competitive intent seems to go through a subtle change. In the past it seemed to me that Tom wanted nothing more than to stick the dagger in the opponents heart and that was his motivation. Now he seems to turn to "who has another catch to go to get a record", "who needs a few more rushing yards to become team season leader" etc etc. While Tom is still highly motivated at that point in games I think the rest of the team takes its direction from Tom. They see his competitive redirection as the equivalent of saying, we have this game won and while he is still playing hard, they let up.

Before you know it we have a game again. The opponent is within one score of tying or winning and we are scrambling to recover our competitive edge against a team that is now feeling it, especially if we are in their house.

I am not saying Tom Brady is a problem...far from it. I just hope he realizes that 1-3 is no place to be in this league, parity being what it is along with the possibility of sustaining injuries that change the entire profile of your team.

I think that the Pats win this game pretty easily, but if they don't then they probably just aren't good enough to contend. As a result, I'm not really worried.

Real officials

Coming off two losses

Coming to realization that the team hasn't been sub .500 post opening day since 2002

Belichick out $50k

Bills' RBs banged up, may/may not play

Winslow, Branch more comfortable with the offense and in better version of "game shape"

If the Patriots lose this game, the lack of Joy in Mudville will seem like a giggle factory in comparison to how it will be in the New England area. I'm not nervous at all.

Then again, I thought the Cardinals game was in the bag...

It all comes down to whether McD attacks the soft middle of this D or plays it cute with another of these 12 delayed draws offensive game plans...I have to think regular refs will not tolerate the wholesale clawing, clutching and holding the Ravens offensive line got away with game...and I'm certain there will be no phantom 5 yard invisible illegal contact penalties like the ridiculous call that negated a game changing 13 yard sack late in the 4th quarter by Jones last week.

Real refs, no circus clowns...they lose they have to deal with it...this is a very winnable game...in fact , the defense can clamp down on this Bills offense right from the start...there's some very PO'ed DLmen in blue that want rip something apart after last week.

Never be afraid of losing.

If the Bills win then they have the division in thier control.....if they lose then NE is in charge....

Worry?.....let the players that are struggling worry about thier job,I won't worry.

Don't worry about the Bills.

Their two wins are over KC at home and a close game against the Browns. So while we have lost 2 games on last second FG attempts to 5-1 teams, they have 2 wins against 1-5 teams.

And they got blown out by the Jests.

Their season ends over the next 3 weeks.

Patriots, then on the road to SF and Arizona in consecutive weeks.

Western NY will be dark by mid-October.

I am simply looking forward to it. What could have been a kind of ho hum season where they cakewalk to the play-offs has gotten really interesting in a hurry. Now every game is really going to matter and games we once pencilled in have meaning. I am really confident they will play well and win this week and I am looking forward to it.

Go 4-4 over the first eight games and the Pats may have to win out to make the playoffs...then again...10-6 could get a wild card...it's way too early to speculate, but after two bitter losses this team needs a win to bolster their confidence

I think the NFC West is going beat up on the AFC East in general, so as long as the Pats go at least .500 in the NFCW games, and do well in the division, they'll be fine. 10-6 could conceivably win the division, 11-5 almost certainly would, and 13-3 would probably get a bye (at this point, that's looking pretty unlikely barring a Houston collapse, but who knows).

Losing to the Bills, though, would likely be the beginning of the end. An outside-of-conference loss to the Cardinals wasn't a huge deal, in-conference loss to the Ravens was much worse, but an in-division loss to the Bills would signal that it's time to push the panic button.

The game against the Browns wasn't close. They got a couple scores only after Spiller was injured and some ref help. Not to mention they kneed the game away with a full minute left on the goal line at the end. Gailey didnt want to run up the score.

I don't feel nervous at all but talk to me 10 minutes before kick off sunday.
