Fair play to him. I've always had good time for him as he sat behind Favre and didn't complain and then got his chance and he was real good. And now he is willing to speak out which makes him even better.

He could have handled it a lot worse. It was a very diplomatic and thoughtful response. I gained a lot more respect for him, I always that he was just a DB.

Exactly. Not that I would have expected him to, but it really would have been impressive if he said all this about the Pats/Ravens game or one of the other bad ones before his.

I'm glad the Packers were so vocal in their outrage....someone needs to be. Besides our team, that is. Our team seemed to understand pretty quickly that venting on and on will a. hinder preparation for next week's game, b. have no effect on changing the outcome and/or c. possibly result in a fine.

I will say that the players' anger probably helped in getting a deal done. Combined with all the other outrage, of course.

I'm a pretty easy going guy...But that's one guy who ~ if I ever did meet him in person ~ I might very well be moved to insult, to'is face...If I ever heard that something horrible happened to'm, I know that I wouldn't even pretend to commiserate with'm. Some people are just bad, awful human beings, and do deserve to have awful things happen to'm: They know what is right and what is wrong, and ~ whether it's because of cowardice, mean spirited jealousy, or both ~ they consciously choose to perpetrate Evil.

That is what Goodell did with SpyGate, when he knowingly and consciously spun what any intelligent person knows was ~ at most ~ a mild misdemeanor into a Capital Crime...and then dramatically materially damaged our team.

He is vermin.

And there is no fate that might befall him that is so awful that I would lament it.

Roger will be around a lot longer than Rodgers... If they hadn't already extended him to a double digit deal through 2018, the owners would be inking him to a bigger longer one now. He is the defacto 33rd member of their 32 team league partnership. He gets them exactly what they want and takes them where they want to go and absorbes and shelters them from the slings and arrows of their egotistical partners and employees wrath, not to mention that of their fans and the media who cover them all.

i like Aaron Rogers but if the packers won that game he ever would have said a thing and he should not have said a thing because he really did not do much in that game to help he's team win, thats what makes brady a great QB he dose not Blame the refs or the coachs or the defense he just dose he's job

This. And as god awful as the refs were - and that call was pretty amazingly awful - how come no one is giving any heat to the Packers corner for not simply knocking it down? It's a simple play - do what you're coached to do and the officials don't have any say.

Obviously not excusing the fact that they were jobbed, but I think the Packers have not exactly responded to this situation that the Patriots would. Heck, the Pats were jobbed just as bad basically and only had a tweet or two or objection.

I think it was poor form of Rodgers to comment on it. Reads more like sour grapes to me than anything. I also think lending credence to dwelling on past failures is detrimental to the team in general. The best path is to make your statement in the post game presser and make it clear that you are moving on.

Roger Goodell manifests the seamy underside of the NFL.

He reminds us that there is a meaningful cadre of small-minded owners, usually with teams in marginal markets and with a variety of specious financial motives for even owning an NFL team, who bring a "Plantation Mentality" to all who work for them, from players to NFL staff to Officials. Something must have happened behind the scenes to shift the balance of power away from them in this instance. I'd like to think it was "grown ups" like Bob Kraft, the Mara's and the Rooney's stepping in, but we might never know.

As for Aaron Rodgers (with a "d"): good on ya for standing up, but I didn't notice you or any of your fellow players offering to sit out a game in "solidarity" with your Union brothers in the NFLRA.
