I know its water over the dam, but Lombardi is very respected throughout the league and his comments have me wondering about the FG now.

Right around the 3:21 mark. Click on the 12:59 Lombardi podcast on the right.

Not sure whats worse. Hearing this or watching Opie get taken out in SOA again.

I don't think it was good either, but it doesn't matter anymore. It just sucks ass.

Well maybe with the replacement refs, there can be another tie-breaker category used this year; "Lost games that you would have won with competent referees".

Dont worry.

The Pats and Ravens will meet again in the post season.

Hopefully, with the Patriots boosted by Hernandez-power. :D

Unfortunately, Sunday's game made it much more likely that such a game will be played in Baltimore rather than New England.

Yup, and this time it will be on OUR field.

Oh wait!!!!!

:enranged:

Cant we just move on? who the hell cares? its not like they are going to change the result of the game...

If the Pats don't win at least 9 of their next 13 games then the FG won't matter

If the Pats win at least 12 of their next 13 games then the FG won't matter

They just need to take care of business and not look back.....

Thats ok, we can beat them on their field.

Not necessarily so. If the Pats have a higher seeding based on final record, they would get the home game, I believe. I believe head to head would only be a tiebreaker if both teams are tied in wins and losses overall and conference.

I think I am right but wouldn't bet on it.

Podcast won't load for me. Not sure how he can be so sure that the FG was NG. Did anybody listen to it? What was the gist of his argument that it was NG?

In other words, the Ravens have a 1 game tiebreaking edge on the Patriots, beyond the one game edge in record they currently have. As of right now, it's essentially a 2 game lead for the Ravens.

What's the use of looking at the kick over & over? Just to feel worse about it?

Bottom line is that it's not going to change....it's done.

If we are good enough to make the playoffs, and we are a hot team at the end of the season, it shouldn't matter where the games are played.

Of course we'd all love to see them get home advantage....but perhaps we should make the playoffs first....

Pretty much beat them at their place the other night, they can do it again. Going to be hard this time they'll have real refs though. Defense was bad but they made big plays down the stretch that got negated by bogus calls(stop on 2nd & 14 and the big sack by Kyle Love).

It's IMPOSSIBLE to tell from any of the camera angles out there. I don't care who's saying it because it is just their guess. Lombardi is no better at watching a ball go over a goal post than anyone else.

Ya' I agree. That is why I was asking what Lombardi's argument was. I can't see how he can claim to know that the FG was NG.
