From my perspective he certainly seems excessively greedy and money grubbing. I am thinking of his Super Bowl seating scam and his attempt to screw the players during lockout (Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Caused the NFL Lockout). Now I suspect that he is the one behind the scrooge-ike dealings with the refs.

The guy is worth 2 billion but I guess that is just not enough. Greed has no limits with him.

I hope that the next team to get the Green Bay-like shaft is the Cowboys.

Maybe irate local fans would get his attention

Yes. All his fault. You've convinced me with your fantastic reasoning.

When it comes to the lockout, how is Jones different than Kraft or any other NFL owner?

Yeah, it's all of their fault. After this debacle, I'll pretty much just laugh anytime anyone says that any of the owners is a 'fan first' (yes, that includes Kraft).

To blame Jerry Jones and exonerate the other 31 owners is idiotic. If Jones is "greedy and money grubbing" then so is Kraft, Mara, Rooney, etc.

its easier to target jones because he is the one coming out and saying that the replacement refs are fantastic, and the only people who have a problem with them are the losers.

while yes, the losing team/fans complain about it more AFTER the game...winning teams/fans are complaining about it DURING the game.

As a rotund local radio personality is fond of saying...that's not what I said. I just said that he appears to be a greedy bastard. I am not plugged into the whole Dallas circus but I am aware of three incidents that displays a miserly a attitude: his Super Bowl seating scam and hit hardline during the lockout and his recent comments. Obviously he was not the only hardliner during the lockout but was one of the more prominent ones if not the most prominent.

According to this article (based on a Sport Illustrated article) JJ was the reason for the lockout! He is worse douche than I realized: "Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Caused the NFL Lockout":

Or business insider:
Jerry Jones To Players: "I Guess We're Going To Have To Show You To Get Your Attention" - Business Insider

I don't have the inside details on the ref situation but based on his track record...you have to wonder if JJ is behind the impasse....
