I think that sums it up perfectly.

Our defense was shutting out the Ravens offense. Forcing 3 and outs the entire 1st qtr.

Until the refs decided to start extending drives that had no business being extended. Ravens should've been forced to punt to the Pats numerous times.

Gregory made a nice INT.

Chandler Jones and Kyle Love had a sack that should've set the Ravens back 12 yards. (Negated by a phantom hold on Spikes, where the Ravens player actually held him)

Jones and Ninkovich were being held all game. Funny how the refs barely called holding on OLines yet they called numerous Defensive holding..... actually there were probably more Defensive Holding calls in last nights game than in the entire 2011 season for the Pats. I have NEVER seen a game officiated that way.

Torrey Smith blatant push off on a TD catch.

Ray Rice had a nice drive where he was running it and we couldn't stop it. But our D was tired out thanks to the extended drive before that (which never should've happened).

Mayo played well as usual. Spikes brings a toughness that can match any Ravens player.

Overall 2 Ravens TD drives should've ended in them punting to us, and 1 TD was a blatant push off.

It's not so crazy to think that our Defense wouldve held the Ravens to just 10 points if that game were officiated properly.

Only thanks to the referees.

Numerous drives should've ended with Ravens punting, but got extended on phantom defensive holding calls. It was the most PATHETIC officiating I have ever seen in any professional sport. Ever. Period.

Yeah we couldn't hold up on that last drive. But can you really blame them? We couldn't lay a finger on WR's. Couldn't jam them even inside of 5 yards. Our DLine was being grabbed around the neck and no holding was being called.

Jones/Love combined sack was negated by a phantom penalty. So instead of moving them back 12 yards, then moved forward for positive yardage and a 1st down.

I don't think ANY defense, even the AFC Pro Bowl Defense, could've stopped the Ravens offense on that last drive with the way the refs were calling the game.

Wonder where the game goes if Mayo isn't flagged for a phantom PI....

It looked like it would be another game like the Pats-Jets game from 2010 at the end of the regular season.

We were on our way to blowing them out.

47-10 maybe. Who knows what the final score should've been. The refs made that a completely different game than it should've been.

You are seriously embarassing yourself now

The defense did not play well.

no doubt we left plays on the field, notably the dropped interceptions, but did you even watch the game?

The defense played well enough to hold most teams on most nights with most referee crews to under 20 points.

the defense played lights out the 1st quarter, and would have continued but the Ravens essentially had 5 downs because of the refs.

Let me try:

Going against the grain...the officiating was great last night.

Are you trying to say you think the defense played well, and calling me out because I saw they were horrid?

To all those saying our defense was bad.

I ask you this.....

What is our defense supposed to do when the DLine is being held every play, and we are not allowed to jam Receivers inside of the allowed 5 yards or even graze them with a pinky finger?

Even when we did make a play despite those horrid conditions, it would be negated by a phantom defensive holding call to give the Ravens a 1st down.

There is NO defense in the NFL that could've stopped that. Not the 49ers, not the Texans, not even the Ravens.

yes, how many times did we come up with a key stop only for the refs to pull out a BS flag and give them another go? how many times did the D-line get blatantly held?

Agree with the posters above that the D played poorly. However, it sure would be nice to get the regular refs back so we don't have any lingering doubts about how good or bad the Pats played due to games being officiated by replacement refs who are terrible.

The Ravens were awarded 5 first downs due to penalties. The Pats were awarded 8 first downs due to penalties. Total penalty yards were 85 on the Pats, and 135 agaisnt the Ravens.

Sorry, but as bad as the calls were last night, we got more calls than the Ravens did.

Our defense gave up 500+ yards, 31 points, missed 3 INTs, no sacks, no hurries, no knock downs....and they "played well"??? If you say so.....

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll lollipop.

...the world may never know.

Number of calls is irrelevant. The Ravens had the benefit of far more bad calls than the Pats.
