I feel really guilty b/c my attention wasn't focused solely on the game. I was with a lady friend & she kept distracting me with her flirting. At half time we went into her bedroom & well ya know. ;) We could hear the sound of the game in the background, but we were still going at it when the 2nd half started. I figured with a 15 point lead we were safe, but before we knew it the game was tied. As soon as I heard the 2 pt conversion was good I finished up & got dressed. :D I got back into the living room just in time for the Hobbs 80 return. I felt my return to focus was clearly the reason for the success. :p Unfortunately it wasn't enough. I feel horrible! :(

Bakes, all I have to say is, you'd better marry the broad, otherwise she needlessly destroyed our season.

Jesus Mary and Joseph!!! Please tell me your kidding, man. And all the time we are gnashing our teeth about reasons for the loss and NOW you decide to come clean ?!?!!??!?! . You let down the Nation, man. how could you? Did you not know it is instantly bad Karma to screw during half time?

 Now I know how Bartman feels like! I'd better get my ass out of town. :bricks:

21-3 while I was drinking Saranac. As soon as I switched to Sam Light the wheels fell off. I mean, immediately.

So, I guess I'm saying we should blame Jim Koch.

My 9 yo son is distraught because he wasn't home and couldn't sit in "the recliner" which has gotten him 3 SB and a WS w/the Sox. I'm a little pissed at him too ;)

Sounds like you guys fit into my " Do you believe in FATE" thread, lol

My buddy left to get pizza and snacks right as the game started. He wasn't as hard-core as the rest of us so he didn't mind. It took him most of the first half to come back.

As soon as he stepped in the door, the Colts marched down the field and scored the field goal at the end of the half. He was a bad luck charm, since we all know what happened in the second half.

By the way, it's nice to see that someone in Patriots gear could both maintain an extended drive and score off of it in the second half.

Got any video so we can see if it was your fault, or not??????

not that I'm aware of. Where's the challenge flag when you need one? :singing:

:D Yeah for the final play I used the tight end on a back door screen. :p

My woman got a Pats tank top and underwear just for the game and wore them all day. That plus your experience sort of belies the concept of "lady luck," at least regarding the outcome of playoff games, don't you think? :(

Well maybe it's my fault for not getting laid during the game - I'll have to remember that for next year and present this option to my wife - do it for the Patriots, damnit :D

I feel this is relatively minor compared to Bakes' shenanigans - which must definitely have cost us at least a field goal as the football gods are hardly likely to shine on someone having quite so much luck during a half time in which we were up 18 points - but I will forever regret not wearing my Michigan t-shirt during the game. I just couldn't find the damned thing.

Post like this really bug me, but... if you've got nothing nice to say...

It's just a fun little thread. My rational mind knows that nothing I do at home affects the game, but there's always that nagging little superstition. Hell, athletes themselves are the most superstitious cats on the planet.

There are worse things to be, know what I mean? :)

lol... You guys are aweful... lol... :)
